MG MGB 1978

The MG B has long been held in high regard throughout the classic car world. Excellently stylish, well performing and backed by a wealth of enthusiast support and parts supply, these golden era British sports cars make great usable classics and the example we have here can be seen as one such car. A 1978 roadster, this striking red example boasts a chrome bumper conversion as well as a rare removable hard top and soft top roof. Paired with its historic status and thus tax and MOT exemption, this "B" is now looking for a new loving home. Cosmetically the MG can be considered fundamentally well. Finished in a classic gloss red with a contrasting black hard top roof panel, both of which present in generally good form, it remains a thoroughly striking car with the to be expected signs of wear tear and blemishing commensurate with age. Both the hard top and soft top roofs unlatch and lift with ease. The interior is in similar condition, with lesser seen cream seats. It remains a nice place to be with general age related marking, wear and tear. Mechanically the MG seems well. We have taken it for a short test drive around our farm and it performed nicely; starting, driving and stopping. Thought having seen limited use recently, a general going over would be advised prior to a full return to the road. Registration for the car is ***YWT 870S***
