Restored exampleRare Japanese PickupThe Datsun Pickup is a longrunning model line that went through numerous generations as Nissan looked to keep its affordable working vehicle competitive. The 520 generation was introduced in 1965 and interestingly, the 420 generation was skipped because, in Japan, the name is considered impolite. The 521 was the designation given to the later facelifted version and was fitted with a larger 1.5litre engine instead of the original 1.3litre. With the name DATSUN stamped into the rear deck tailgate, this reliable and longrunning machine helped popularised the Japanese brand the world over.Beautifully presented in surf blue, this wonderful little Pickup was imported to the UK at the beginning of 2025. The car has been cherished ever since and used regularly to go to shows and alike. Sporting Datsun servicing signwriting decals, the car oozes charm. Reported by the vendor to run and drive well and offered to sale only due to the need for space with the arrival of a new car, this wonderful Japanese Pickup offers an impressive smiles per pound ratio.
