I can’t praise hiltongarage.co.uk� enough. I was close to being swayed by some of the negative reviews, but I’m so glad I trusted my gut and went ahead with the purchase. From the start, I felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after, and the whole process was seamless. Matt King was absolutely fantastic throughout — from helping during the test drive, to patiently going through different options, and even explaining things multiple times whenever I needed reassurance. After reading some of the negative reviews beforehand, I came in with a million questions, but Matt handled everything with sincerity, warmth, and professionalism. Every dealership will have its flaws, which is why you’ll find negative reviews for almost every major dealership in the UK, but my personal experience has been incredibly positive and I genuinely can’t fault the service I received.
Went to Hilton Garage because of previous good service. Went and Matt Kirby came to us and went through cars we had ear marked on the website. He explained the specifications of each car, and arranged a test drive on 2 of them. When we decided to buy Matt was very attentive and explained everything to help us through the process. He tried to sell us add ons but wasn't pushy when we refused. Overall a painless experience and good service. Robert Sanders
Disappointing After-Sales Service – Avoid Hilton Garage Derby. I purchased a Nissan Qashqai for £13,000 from Hilton Garage, Derby on the 28th of last month. The very next day, I noticed a clicking/knocking sound ('tuk-tuk') when turning the steering wheel left and right. I immediately sent an email reporting the issue. Since then, I have sent two emails and called them twice. Every time I called, I was promised a callback, but no one has bothered to contact me. They completely ignored my emails as well. Before buying, their customer service was excellent and they were very enthusiastic. But once they got the money, their attitude completely changed, and they completely ghosted me. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable after spending such a large amount. I highly regret my purchase and wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for reliable after-sales support.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I sold my Audi A3 to Hilton Garage after originally receiving an offer of £9,050, which I was really pleased with. However, when they arrived to collect the car, they suddenly knocked £500 off the agreed price at my doorstep, leaving me feeling pressured and very uncomfortable. One of the reasons they used to reduce the price was that the rear number plate “wasn’t aligned properly” something that turned out to be just a simple clip adjustment. To reduce the valuation so heavily over something so minor is honestly mind-blowing. What makes it even more frustrating is seeing the exact same car advertised for £10,750 less than a week later. It feels like they intentionally undervalued the vehicle at collection knowing full well what they would sell it for. Overall, I feel robbed and extremely disappointed with the experience. I would strongly advise anyone selling their car to be cautious about last-minute price reductions and pressure tactics.
I recently purchased my car from Hilton Car Garage and had a really positive experience with Paul. From the start he was kind, professional and very reassuring during the test drive, which made me feel much more confident and comfortable with the process. He took the time to give me lots of useful information, answered all of my questions and genuinely went out of his way to help. Nothing felt rushed or pressured and the whole experience was smooth and stress free. Really happy with both the service and my car, thank you Paul! Highly recommend.
