I was looking for a car for my 17 year old and after a really poor experience elsewhere (see other review), buying a car from Gatwick Motor World was a breath of fresh air. I wanted to use a local, trustworthy, honest and helpful car dealers. They had a great selection of cars available and Simon took the time to help us view the cars at both sites to find the right one for my son rather than just trying to make a quick sale. The whole experience felt straightforward and genuine from start to finish, which is exactly what you want when buying a used car. We ended up with a fantastic car and couldn\u2019t be happier. Highly recommended \u2014 excellent customer service and a dealership that actually cares about its customers.
This company utilises all the residential parking within several miles of their garages, it\u2019s become ridiculous - every single space for residents is taken up by their old bangers, their loading trucks (with cars on!), vans, etc etc. We can\u2019t seem to do anything about it and GMW just ignore requests to desist. Don\u2019t trust them with your vehicle.
Although I did unfortunately have issues with the car I purchased, I have to say Gatwick Motorworld handled the situation professionally in the end. Everything was wrapped up and finalised within a few days, and the matter was resolved quickly once escalated. A big thank you to Simon and Nicole for all their help, understanding, and support throughout what was a very stressful situation. They kept me informed and worked hard to get everything sorted for me. Because of the way the issue was resolved, I would happily deal with Gatwick Motorworld again in the future.
Terrible experience. I visited on a Friday afternoon to test drive a Volvo, having paid a \xa3195 deposit on the Monday of the same week, on the clear understanding that it was fully refundable if I chose not to proceed. After viewing the car, it became clear that it did not meet my requirements, as the boot opening was not large enough for the equipment I carry. I contacted Tim first thing on Saturday morning to explain this and request the return of my deposit. He refused to return my deposit indicating he could have sold the car to someone else, which was incredibly dishonest of them. I had to fight extremely hard to get the deposit back, including a written complaint, causing me unnecessary stress. I would not not deal with them ever again.
