I purchased an Audi A3 from FoW Trafford in June 2025, which had a fresh MOT (in June 2025) without any advisories. In addition, I found a piece of paper within the service history prior to purchase which stated that the 2 of the spark plugs were stuck in and couldn’t be replaced. I questioned this, and I was assured that the spark plugs had been changed following my request. Fast forward 11 months, and only 3,600 miles since purchase, the car goes in for an MOT, and it fails. Funnily enough, the car failed for all of the advisories that had been identified in the 2024 MOT which included the following; Offside Rear Upper Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i)) Nearside Rear Shock absorbers has light misting of oil (5.3.2 (b)) Offside Rear Shock absorbers has light misting of oil (5.3.2 (b)) To make matters worse, the rear coil spring snapped clean in half when touched in front of my own eyes. Clearly, a new spring was not put on the car via FoW. Clearly the issues identified in 2024 would have showed up in the 2025 MOT (but they didn’t), therefore, I’d question whether the company rectified any issues known to them, or simply turned a blind eye to the 2024 MOT issues to get the car through the 2025 MOT “with a clean bill of health”. In addition, following further inspection the same 2 spark plugs are stuck in the engine block and are clearly old which is affecting the running of the car. Overall, something clearly isn’t right with their pre-purchase inspections and MOT procedures, therefore, proceed with caution
Maya who delt with my purchase was wonderful. Plenty of knowledge. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is when I went to view the car the battery was dead and the second key has been misplaced. They have however said they will locate the second key or replace it with new. If that is swift I may return and give the missing star.

This was my 3rd car from FOW so I knew the experience would be good. I was taken through viewing and purchase by the professional and friendly Sienna. Good car knowledge and good explanation of purchase options available. Happy with p/ex valuation and a fast turnaround enabled collection in 3 days. A couple of minor issues that I'd forgotten to ask about were quickly sorted by the after sales team. Overall an excellent experience.
