I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received at Evans Halshaw in Manchester. As a long-standing customer of Renault and Dacia, I have previously used their dedicated service centre in Swansea, where the experience was significantly better. This recent experience felt more like dealing with a third-party garage rather than an authorised service provider. I had a full service and MOT booked for 8:00 AM on 16th April 2026. However, I was kept waiting at the centre until approximately 4:30 PM due to unavailable brake pads and discs. Throughout this time, there was a lack of clear communication regarding delays or expected completion time. Spending an entire day waiting without proper updates is unacceptable. After finally receiving the vehicle, I discovered that the service/maintenance warning was still active, and the Dacia app continued to show the vehicle as overdue for service. This raises concerns about whether the service was properly completed. I contacted the service department and was asked to return at 8:30 AM on 18th April. Upon arrival, I was informed that the issue could not be resolved because no Renault/Dacia technician was available. This is particularly frustrating, as I was specifically asked to come in. This issue should have been resolved on the original service day. I have now been asked to return again on Monday, which means additional fuel costs and further loss of my time, despite having already paid for the service and holding a service plan with you. Overall, this experience has been highly inconvenient and disappointing. I strongly urge Renault/Dacia to consider establishing a dedicated service and MOT facility in Manchester, similar to the one in Swansea, to ensure customers receive the standard of service expected from the brand. At present, I regret purchasing a service plan due to this experience, and I am not satisfied with the level of customer service provided.
If i could give it no stars i would! ABSOLUTE JOKE! Had nothing but problems since i bought my car! Every time my car has been in to get something fixed(which is a lot) it comes out with a different problem it went in with! There are never the right 'technicians' in to actually fix any issues and customer service is ridiculous! Never get an update call your told you will get and when either phoning or speaking in person they never seem to know what is actually going on! Conveniently there is never a manager available when you ask to speak to them either! Was unable to drive my car for 6 MONTHS because i couldnt get booked in or was cancelled on and when i EVENTUALLY got my car in, i didnt get it back for 5 WEEKS despite being told every week i was getting it back! Because they either couldnt fix it or created a new problem! Have also put official complaints in which of course i have not had a reply to either! I will never return to this car dealership again thats for sure!
Zero feedback and updates and my car had to stay way longer than planned due to a part not being available, then it stayed even longer as the wrong part arrive. Despite being told on 2 occassions I will be phoned with updates, I did not receive any calls. I had to phone so many times to get an update but the phones are simply not answered. Very poor customer service.
Good customer service, friendly and helpful staff. Did the service and mot quickly when requested. In the past with older cars I have used a smaller garage for service and mot. Present car was still under warranty so used dealer. Very expensive so would not use in the future due to cost.
AVOID AND SAVE YOURSELF STRESS AND TIME Purchased a used car on line before… Purchased a used car on line before Christmas and when it was delivered it was damaged and bits missed from it,I contacted HARRY DAVIS straight away and was assured that it would all get sorted NOTHING DONE. Tried to contact through online complaint and was totally ignored.I continued to make dozens of phone call texts and emails to various people and departments but again not interested at all just give you false promises.I feel they are very quick to take your money (£18,000 of mine ) and then don’t give a dam.I finally got reimbursed for repairs to damage after 3 months of constant complaining but still no further with getting missing stuff from car.AVOID HARRY DAVIS AT HULL promises everything but does nothing.Please save yourself the stress and time and go elsewhere
