I didn’t end up purchasing a car from this garage, so this review is based purely on my experience prior to buying. I visited Castle 4 Cars while searching for a new vehicle and initially narrowed my options down to three cars. I was allowed to test drive the vehicles, which I appreciated, and staff were generally polite when answering questions. However, throughout the process I often felt like my questions and indecisiveness were more of an inconvenience than expected, despite buying a car being a major financial decision that I wanted to take seriously. I eventually became very interested in one particular vehicle, a higher-mileage Tiguan. The car looked great and I was initially happy to proceed. After discussing the pricing, I questioned why the vehicle had previously been advertised at a different amount and was given a reasonable explanation regarding work that had been carried out. Shortly afterwards I was offered a \xa3500 discount, which I felt brought the car closer to fair market value considering the age and mileage. Before committing, I asked for evidence of servicing history and confirmation that major maintenance items had been completed. After some back and forth, it became clear that important jobs such as the cambelt, water pump, and Haldex service had not been carried out despite the car being close to 100k miles. I was eventually told these jobs could be completed, but the previously offered \xa3500 discount would be removed. This left me feeling uncomfortable because I fee these were important maintenance items that should have either already been reflected in the pricing or clearly disclosed earlier in the process. I fully understand that the dealership had already spent money replacing the clutch and dual mass flywheel, which is a costly repair, but as a buyer I also needed confidence that the vehicle was fully up to date on major servicing for its mileage and age as it was promised. I’m not saying not to use this garage, and the cars themselves presented well, but my advice would be to ask detailed questions, request evidence for major maintenance work, and trust your instincts if something doesn’t feel right. Buying a used car is a significant investment and customers should never feel uncomfortable for doing proper checks beforehand. Particularly when purchasing \xa310000 on a vehicle.

Was buying a car in the UK for the first time. Rachel was extremely helpful and patient with me from the very first greeting right up until final sale. These guys really care, and the cars are only top tier! Would highly recommend, and if I was buying another car i’d go straight back :)
I recently had a great experience with this car dealership from start to finish. LUKE was very friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The car I purchased was in excellent condition, exactly as described, and fairly priced compared to similar listings elsewhere. What really stood out was the transparency throughout the process. Everything—from pricing to paperwork—was clearly explained, and there were no hidden fees or surprises. The buying process was smooth and efficient, and they made sure I was comfortable and informed at every step.
