CarSupermarket.com Newcastle were great because. The initial purchase of my car really didn’t go well! Initially I was dealing with the Hessle branch, I was sent photos of the car and noticed a large scuff on front near side bumper, I asked if someone could polish out this scuff and it was, not perfect but better, however the sales person at Hessle called me to say there was significant damage to the off side front bumper and that would need to be done in a body shop. I did an independent check on the car’s history and noticed the three year old car had never been serviced. I started to lose confidence and asked to cancel the order at this stage. The sales person at Hessel then convinced me to go ahead with the sale on the offer of a two year warranty, have the car serviced and have a smart repair done to the front bumper. I agreed and instead of a home delivery I opted to travel from Edinburgh to Newcastle to collect the car and have a look before I paid for the car. I’d like to say Mark Sime who I dealt with was very professional and made the collection and transaction easy. On returning home I just had a funny feeling about the car so had it inspected for my piece of mind. On inspection the two rear tyres had nails and gashes, the rear near side brake pads weren’t fitted correctly, the anti rattle spring wasn’t positioned correctly in the calliper and whist the car seemed to have had an oil change the air filter element was original and had never been changed. Overall the sales was fine but the service department has failed. I had the brakes fixed and the air filter changed at my own expense and the two rear tyres were replaced at Kwik Fit.
