Myself and my husband had a great experience purchasing our Porsche 911 through Baytree Motors, thanks in no small part to Steve. From first contact through to collection, he was professional, knowledgeable, and refreshingly straightforward. Steve handled the process calmly and transparently, was happy to engage with a detailed PPI, and worked constructively to address items that mattered to me before handover. Having bought my beautiful R8 last April from Tim at Baytree I decided that I wasn't using it enough to warrant keeping it. The guys at Baytree had emailed asking for cars to add to their stock. I felt having had a great experience with the guys buying the car then surely them selling it for me would be just as good. What a bad mistake I made. Having agreed \xa385k return to myself for the car plus the \xa3550 returned on top of this which i paid to get the car over to baytree, this is not how things played out. The guys actually rang me shortly after the car arrived to tell me how happy they were with it and that it was as nice as they remembered. [ it had only covered about 2000 miles since it left them. ] They felt it shouldn't sit about too long. After about 3 to 4 weeks I got a phone call from the dealership out of the blue, telling me I would need to put a new shock in the car plus 2 new front tyres. I was quite taken back as it just had a service and full health check at Audi 300 miles and 4 months previous . Audi said there was a slight weep but they would not replace the shock even under warranty. The 2 tyres were well within legal limit however there was slight cracking around the edge of them. The guys also then dropped the bombshell that I would have to pay for a \xa3550 plus vat service. I totally disagreed and got all the service info from Audi sent to Baytree which clearly stated that it did not need a service. Thankfully I then got the call that it had taken a few days to get through to several dealerships in England to clear up so if i could now send the \xa31400. Literally as soon as I sent it i got a message back saying right now just need to sort the service out. They completely tried to trap me as they knew I wasn't paying for the work and the service. I had to argue for several days and involve Audi again before they finally agreed actually I was right and it didnt need a service. The stress and frustration created during this was immense. So car ready to sell now and I just felt like, get me my \xa385550 and let me walk away 1400 worse off, and at least end the stress. Nope the guys literally then told me they could now only get me \xa383500 in a sale with a customer as he wouldn't budge on price and they felt now being january there wouldnt be much interest and this was the chance to get it away. At this point I reminded the guys that when I tried to haggle buying the car off them they wouldn't budge by a single pound. Anyway they told me they didnt think they would better this deal at this time of year and with the market where it was. Not exactly what the paperwork stated to get the car to them in the first place. So I was able to squeeze another 500 out of the deal meaning rather than getting \xa385550 i got \xa384 minus the 1400 i had to pay so \xa382600 As i write this i still have had no receipts or invoices for the \xa3550 I paid for their driver to collect the car or the \xa31400 of work that was carried out [ I hope ] I would certainly urge anyone thinking of selling their car with Baytree cars to be sure you know that what you are initially signing to guarantee your return is in fact no guarantee at all. Perhaps Baytree should just stick to buying cars and selling them rather than trying to sell customers cars with false promises. What a shame after thinking I had found an honest decent dealership.

Purchased a very nice Aston Martin Vantage and got fair price for my part exchange. It developed a minor problem and as I lived a long way from them Tim agreed my invoice for a local repair and sorted it promptly. All in all a pleasant experience and I would definitely buy from them again.
