Recently bought a brand new golf r 8.5 black edition from Arnold Clark rutherglen, Jack Devlin the sales rep, what a job he made the transaction seem so easy, paperwork all done and I got my new car in 2 days, highly recommend if your looking for a new car speak to Jack he will sort you out, but I can’t speak highly enough of him. Great job Arnold Clark can’t fault them. Now am currently enjoying my new golf thanks again
When it comes to sales they'll help you. When it comes to getting car repaired under warranty they play dumb. Took a car for inspection of a faulty gear syncro mesh and obviously they couldn't find anything wrong but when I said to rev up the engine mechanic purposefully kept it under. Now I'm one of those who bought a few years old car and need to pay £3k out of my own pocket. Took it for a service the other day and they scratched the rear door and arch and said it was already there but didn't mark it on their sheet, so how did it suddenly appear. Honestly never going to buy anything from them again in my lifetime.
Purchased kia niro in Oct 25 with 3year service plan mot/service took it in 30 march for both only to be told it failed mot on tyre pressure monitor which would cost £81 to look at plus parts. The car had no lights on when it went in and non when it can out decided to take it my local mot testing station at a cost of £40 to my surprise ha ha it passed no faults found as you would expect. So £750 +£40 cutting my losses doesn't stand in good steady for further mots /services going back to my local garage Do not recommend Arnold Clark my advice is stay clear The car it's self is brilliant .
Absolute cowboys in the Blackpool Vauxhall branch. Had issues where the car had been stuck in Scotland 3 hours away from home for around two months with an electrical fault. Issues started to arise again around a few months later we have struggles with the staff and management at this branch more or less telling us we are lying and nothings wrongly with it. As it stands now none of our key fobs work, can not lock the car wit the fobs or the manual key, car will not start or stop normally, have to force start it with master key as it can no recognise any key. And yes the batteries have been changed twice in the past 24 hours to try and see if that was the problem after that was the solution from your Vauxhall mechanics and wanted to charge is £10 for the battery!!! The solutions that we have had over the past couple of years to everything that doesn’t work right is just don’t use it. We wanted to swap the car that doesn’t work right for same model same sage which I think should he a been ok, however this was refused. I now have a car that I can’t use as 1. I can’t lock the car so can’t leave it at work 2. I fear that it won’t start again at some point as this happened last time there was a full electric breakage in the car
