Arnold Clark branches do not collaborate with each other. I purchased from Chesterfield and had it transported to Edinburgh and for problems Edinburgh said not their issue - chase Chesterfield. Chesterfield I struggled to get any response from them. or call back, and as the car with less than 6000 miles and 12 months old had not been serviced or safety checked. Within a couple of days the Low Oil alarm came on, with the dip stick just touching minimum mark, and as no response from Chesterfield service or Sales, I booked the car in for a service myself as was told no service till 2028! The 60 day customer support team responded well.
Once we located the car on the forecourt, we were warmly greeted by Aaron Moncur. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly very knowledgeable. I was happy with the condition of the car and mentioned that I’d like to take it for a test drive. We were then invited into the showroom where we were seated and offered coffee while we went through the financial details. No question went unanswered, therefore the whole process felt relaxed and comfortable. The test drive was arranged shortly afterwards, and we were able to agree on a part-exchange price and finalise the deal at a figure I was happy with. Aaron did his best to secure the price I was looking for and also ensured the car had a fresh MOT before collection, even though it still had eight months remaining. I’d be more than happy to return for my next car, the overall experience was very good. Thank you.
