Fantastic service and response from the sales guy Willie McKenzie at the Kirkcaldy shop. But disappointed with the delay of the Dundee shop in reaching me just to book a repair for a fault I discovered the very day I bought the car and drive home. Phoned the Kirkcaldy shop immediately and was told Tracy from Dundee office will call me since I am within the area and i chose to do It here instead of going to Kirkcaldy so I don't damage something else while driving the car that distance. It took Tracy in the Dundee office over 6days to call me to book an appointment. Imagine not driving a car yu just bought for this long and the appointment is in another 2weeks. Thanks to Willie though. He did a great job.
This is a follow up on what I can only discribe the customer services of this so called business, as being run by delusional clowns. I told you my address was on the order and it was compleate at checkout, it has been confirmed that your delivery agent had the item and it had the correct address but your delivery agent left the item at the entrance of a block of flats, you refsed to persue a refund for the stolen item, stateing the address had no door number , you left me with no choice other than to hand all the evidance i had, on to my bank and claim against the card payment made, my bank has comfirmed that the courier had the full delivery address and the courier was at fault for leaving the item unsecured, I now have the refund from my bank who will in turn recover the funds them selfes, I will keep away for these clowns and advise you keep away to.
It’s not a bad experience it’s just not great. They have stripped back absolutely everything from the experience and have to constantly “speak to the manager” like some Wizard of Oz character to even match the deal they advertise online. They offer a year’s road tax and £25 of fuel but then try to add it to the finance deal bizarrely. Anything that will make life easier for the customer is an extra and hidden expenses crop up as soon as you agree to the car. For example, printing a private plate was apparently “stopped 6 months ago”. There’s not many other options other than Arnold Clark in the West of Scotland so you don’t really have a choice. Their sales people are nice but seem to have no authority to improve the customer experience whatsoever.
Sadly it was an frrustraing experience. Arnold Clark don’t seem to communicate well with customers requests or each other. I was back n forth on tel appt arrangements with staff with several sales men who didn’t know I was coming when I arrived. Being promised my new car would be ready for pick up on several occasions never happened until the5th visit. ! On one occasion I went in on a Sunday only to be told again it wasn’t ready or able to be cleaned til Monday but they would drive it to my house because I was a cash customer.. when the car didn’t turn up The staff argued with me saying that wasn’t part of their policy . I ended up not having a car until the Thursday i was stranded and was furious. The service wasn’t great . One of the lads however who helped us was good but he had no idea what was going on. Seriously crazy stoker service so! If I can give feedback please note 1. Don’t promise customers home delivery them change your mind causing the customer of making up the conversation. Take some responsibility ! I was stranded without a car for 4 days! 2. When an appt is arranged please write it down in the diary so customers are expected by staff when they arrive! 3. Stop harassing buyers with constant texts and calls asking when the payment is going to be made when the branch that has the car isn’t even ready for the sale! 4. Please keep communications open with your staff so customers are not left high n dry! No one seemed to know what the other was doing. On a positive ! When I eventually got the car. It was immaculately cleaned. The plates were made for me and the sales guy made the transactions easy. Communication is the main issue with Arnold Clark. It could have been a more pleasurable experience for me. I’m just glad I love the car.
