The SX4 S-Cross is a compact family SUV model. With raised suspension, distinctive body work and a choice of bold colours, it really stands out in the car park. The five-door body makes it a practical choice as it’s easy to get in and out of.
Good handling and responsive engines make the SX4 S-Cross fun to drive. The soft suspension soaks up bumps and makes the Suzuki comfortable on long journeys. The SX4 S-Cross is easy to drive around town and light steering, compact exterior dimensions and excellent visibility help make parking straightforward. The option of AllGrip four-wheel drive adds all-weather security and excellent towing capability.
The five-door, five-seater SX4 S-Cross is more compact than rivals on the outside, but the interior is actually more spacious. There’s plenty of head and legroom for those in the back, while the driver and passenger in the front get comfortable seats with plenty of adjustment. The boot is large and well-shaped and will easily hold three large suitcases.
The dashboard design is simple and the controls are within easy reach. There’s plenty of standard equipment, with the entry-level SZ4 getting air con and Bluetooth connectivity. SZ-T adds sat nav and SZ5 features heated leather seats.
Not only does the SX4 S-Cross undercut its rivals on price, it’s also cheaper to run. The engines are extremely frugal, particularly the diesels. Tax bills are affordable, the Suzuki has a low insurance grouping and will cost no more than more mainstream models. The SX4 S-Cross delivers excellent reliability, with Suzuki finishing fifth in the JD Power Dependability Survey. There’s also plenty of safety tech and the SX4 S-Cross was awarded five-stars by Euro NCAP.
The SX4 S-Cross is the flagship of the Suzuki SUV range. It’s bigger than both the Suzuki Jimny and the Suzuki Vitara. It’s more fun to drive and cost-effective to run than the Nissan Qashqai and more spacious than the Vauxhall Mokka X.
Practical, fun to drive and cost-effective to own, the SX4 S-Cross is a great value family car.
Suzuki has an excellent reputation for reliability and the SX4 S-Cross promises to be trouble-free.
