If you're looking for a small city car that's 4 stars or better in pretty much all areas, the Suzuki Splash is the one for you. It looks wonderful, is easy to dive and is actually nicely spacious inside despite its lack of size. Add low running costs to the mix and it's a great solution for urbanites and families alike.
Introduced in 2008, the 5 door hatchback uses a shortened version of the chassis taken from the Swift, and features some small engines that are rather lively and supremely economical. Built along side the Vauxhall Agila, the Suzuki features a more extensive kit list, a nicer overall driving experience and better value for money.
There's nothing really aquatic about the Splash, although some lovely curves do flow along the length of its body. A really attractive car, the front grille looks like a friendly face, and the rear is particularly sexy with the tiny rear spoiler at the top. Clearly this supermini has a lot of personality. The well designed cabin maximises space, and is finished to a good standard as well; the dash mounted rev counter being particularly awesome. Spacious, functional and comfortable, there's a relatively good boot and the trim levels are all well equipped.
The Suzuki is a perfect city car and has all the necessary features it takes to excel in the urban jungle. Sharp, responsive steering, a whole heap of grip in the corners, high levels of agility and a very tight turning circle are just some of the key features in its arsenal. While the ride is rather firm, the Splash is composed and can handle windy back roads and motorways as well. The 1.0 and 1.2 litre petrol engines, and the 1.3 litre diesel are all punchy and make for a zippy experience.
Aside from the good looks and superb drive, the Suzuki is also cheap to buy brand new. If you really want to get the best value for money however, shopping for a second hand one is definitely the best way. Right here at Cazoo you'll pay a fraction of the normal retail price due to some exceptional price reductions, and quality is superior across the whole range of cars for sale. The honest truth is that a used Suzuki Splash will simply be a perfect purchase.
So what you get with the Suzuki is a small car with a big personality and a lot to offer. While there might be other city cars that achieve 5 star ratings in some areas, there's nothing that has the consistent quality of the Splash. it's a stand out auto in a competitive niche and does everything well. Ideal for buyers on shoestring budgets, there's no better way to tackle busy towns and cities.
