The latest A-Class has been on sale new since 2018, replacing a version that was introduced in 2013.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is another popular model. It’s available as a four-door saloon or five-door estate, although stylish convertible and coupe versions were available new until 2023. Many used C-Class cars are powered by a diesel engine, although petrol and plug-in hybrid versions are available.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a large four-door saloon and five-door estate that’s extremely spacious inside and comes with lots of features included as standard. The surprisingly practical coupe and convertible styles were replaced by the CLE Coupe and CLE Cabriolet models in 2023.
Mercedes-Benz CLA
The Mercedes-Benz CLA combines the practicality of a four-door saloon with the style of a coupe. Although it looks very similar to the A-Class saloon, it has different suspension for a sportier drive and a sleeker look overall. The CLA Shooting Brake is the estate version of the CLA.
Mercedes-Benz GLA
The GLA is the smallest and most affordable Mercedes-Benz SUV. The current version was introduced in 2020, replacing the GLA that was on sale new from 2014 until 2020. It’s essentially an A-Class with a raised ride height and more-rugged styling, and gives you the option of high-performance GLA35 and GLA45 versions.

The Mercedes-Benz models that are SUVs include the GLA, GLB, GLC, GLC Coupe, GLE, GLE Coupe, GLS and G-Class. If you spot an SUV with an E at the front of its name – such as the EQA, EQB, EQE SUV or EQS SUV – it means it’s a pure-electric model.
The GLA is the ideal SUV if you’re after something compact and affordable, while the GLC and GLE are great for a growing family. Indeed, the GLE comes with seven seats, unless you choose the five-seat plug-in hybrid version. Alternatively, check out the GLB, which is more affordable than the GLC yet comes with seven seats as standard.
You’ll also spot Coupe versions of the GLC and GLE. These models sacrifice a little boot space and rear headroom in exchange for enhanced styling, more equipment included as standard and a sportier driving experience.
