KetteringInsurance Group 9, 1 Previous Owner, Full Service History, 1997 Ford Fiesta Chicane 1.25, just 11,500 miles from new, supplied by Crystal Ford in Scarborough on the 1st August 1997 to a Mr. Oxtoby when he traded in his 1985 Ford Orion 1.3L for it. Was then passed on to another family member in 2001 where it stayed in the same ownership until it arrived with me earlier this year. When I say this car has every piece of paperwork, I mean it. Everything is here, original bills of sale, warranty paperwork, salesman business cards, every handbook, leaflet and piece of sales literature plus every receipt, invoice and bill the car has every received. Talking of which, the service book has run out of space for stamps, at one point the car was being serviced every few hundred miles, seemingly regardless of how much it has been used, it must be one of the most pampered Fiesta's in the country. In terms of condition there's very little to fault on it. The bodywork is in lovely shape throughout with just the tiniest marks to hint at its age, but to be honest, it's in basically showroom condition. The only thing that could do with some improvement are the wheel trims, which would benefit from some minor restoration, or if you preferred the Chicane was also available with the four spoke alloys many of the higher spec Mk4's sported, so could be an option if you chose to upgrade. Other than that, it's in show worthy condition. Inside is the same story, when the car arrived it had seat covers on and I would hazard that this has been the case throughout its life as the seats and upholstery look untouched. The trims and plastics are in the same barely used condition and all of the buttons and switches work exactly as they should. It's honestly like stepping into a brand new car... albeit in 1997. The car also runs and drives just as you would expect a car of its mileage and service record to, the 1.25 Zetec starts on the button and sounds as smooth as the day it left the factory. It pulls nicely and goes through the gears with no issues at all. It'll also benefit from a full MOT and Service before it leaves, where anything highlighted will be rectified for the new owner.
