With the impressive rise in popularity and price of the modern G Wagon, it is only natural that the classic and original presentation of the model would start to get the respect it deserves. The early W460 generation trucks like the one we have here are becoming increasingly sought after, thanks to their classic style, capability, and importantly in the case of this truck, eligibility for tax, MOT and therefore ULEZ exemption. A 1983 300GD this delightful beige short wheelbase example would make a delightful spring and summer project. Already, running and driving, in a desirable specification, this is arguably a very special truck and one that holds great potential. Cosmetically the car presents quite well. Its certainly a striking thing, but as highlighted in the accompanying photos, there are areas of corrosion that will need to be attended to. Inside looks to be in nice, largely original condition. We have had the truck running and driving and have taken it for a short test drive. It starts, runs, drives, changes gears and stops, but it has been off the road for some time so it will need going over before it returns to the road. We have had a look and the chassis looks okay, but we dont have ramps for a full inspection so this is not conclusive.***REGISTRATION FOR THE CAR IS A160 GFF***
