Introduced in 2015, it combined the traditional Mini formula of compact dimensions and sharp handling with a more powerful turbocharged engine and modern technology. Power was supplied by a 2.0litre turbocharged fourcylinder engine developed by BMW, producing 231PS and delivering strong performance through the front wheels.Alongside the uprated engine, the John Cooper Works model benefited from a range of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades over the standard Cooper S. These included larger Brembo brakes, revised suspension tuning, unique body styling and a sportfocused interior. The result was a car that retained Minis wellknown agility while offering performance capable of rivaling many larger hot hatchbacks.First registered in 2015, this Mini F56 John Cooper Works is finished in Rebel Green, an exclusive paint shade which was designed specifically for the JCW model to offer a darker, more aggressive alternative to the traditional British Racing Green. It's enhanced by a Chilli Red roof, mirror caps, grille bar and brake calipers which sit behind polished JCW Track Spoke alloys finished in black. The Mini has been enjoyed by its current owner and three former keepers and, when photographed, had covered an indicated 48,428 miles supported by a full service history. Overall, it presents as a well maintained example of the performancefocused, threedoor, Mini hatchback.During current ownership, the car has benefitted from a number of recent improvements.
