With an estimated 300 Trophy 182s still on the road today, this represents a genuinely collectible modern classic. The car has been meticulously maintained throughout its ownership with comprehensive service records dating back over a decade, documenting every repair and maintenance item completed. MAJOR WORK COMPLETED In April 2021, the vehicle underwent a comprehensive engine rebuild including complete engine removal and strip, rectification of all oil leaks, professional painting of the cylinder block, resealing of the rocker cover to factory condition, new sump gasket, replacement of the cambelt, waterpump, and dephaser, renewal of the auxiliary belt, refitting of inlet manifolds, and ACF50 anticorrosion treatment throughout. The gearbox was cleaned and a Valeo clutch kit was fitted. In the same period, Eibach lowering springs were added, Sach struts were repaired and refitted, new genuine Renault rear shock absorbers were installed, lower arms were replaced, and exhaust mounts were renewed. An EBC disc and pad set was fitted throughout, red braided brake lines were installed, and Millers race brake fluid was used. A Scorpion performance exhaust system was fitted along with gearbox bushes replacement and air conditioning recharge. In December 2022, the gearbox was completely stripped and overhauled with 3rd and 4th gear synchros replaced, full bearing set renewed, selector shaft seal and differential seal replaced, 1st and 2nd selector fork modified, fresh gearbox oil, new clutch, and flywheel service completed.
