Mercedes-Benz 350 SL 1972

The R107 generation of Mercedes SL has long been a favourite amongst collectors and those looking for a thoroughly good and usable classic roadster. Offered to market here is an rare very early V8 car with the desirable 3.5 litre V8 engine. With some general TLC this could be a very smart open top Mercedes ready for the summer months, benefitting from a free colour matched removable hard top roof and both tax and MOT exemption due to its historic status. Cosmetically car looks fundamentally well. Finished in a lesser seen dark blue finish its certainly a striking example. Having been in storage for an extended period of time there are naturally some age related marks and areas of blemishing that could be improved upon if you were aiming for perfection but we feel it is entirely usable as is. There is a colour matched blue removable hardtop in fair condition and a folding blue soft top in similar order. Inside looks in relatively good shape, with the seat looking to have been reupholstered in a custom two tone finish. Mechanically the car appears well. We have taken it for a short drive around our farm and it performed nicely; starting running and driving.
