Known for its stylish design, positive steering, and comfortable ride, the cars 54bhp shortstroke engine delivers an engaging drive that puts a smile on both driver and passenger faces. Despite all models being right hand drive, the MG TCs charm and character made it a hit across the Atlantic, kickstarting the brands postwar success story.The restoration has been comprehensive and meticulous, with full bare metal paintwork in bright red, new black cloth hood, retrimmed tan leather interior, carpets, and door trim. Minor marks on the walnut dashboard and the offside drivers door hinge are the only visible imperfections. The 19 Dunlop wire wheels are spotless, and the chromework is clean, with only minor blemishes. The car includes its original toolkit and jack, while side screens are provided but require refurbishment. Extensive invoices detail the work carried out and import paperwork from the US is included.Mechanically, the MG TC has undergone a full engine rebuild, including rebored cylinders, new pistons, refurbished cylinder head with new valves, new water and oil pumps, big ends, main bearings, radiator core, and a stainlesssteel exhaust system, giving it a sporty soundtrack. Minor items such as a temperamental speedometer and nonwired windscreen wipers remain. With its iconic styling, vivid red paint, and flawless tan leather interior, this restored MG TC is ready for summer drives, classic car shows, or simply turning heads wherever it goes.
