IverThis Lot will be sold at auction at Symphony of Spring; Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 7th March. Rare Speed Yellow colour schemeHardback colourcoded sports seatsElectric factory sunroofThe 993 was the final generation of the aircooled 911 and, as such, will always have a special place in the affections of Porsche enthusiasts. It's also widely said to be the last of the 911s that was built whilst engineering integrity overruled accounting pressures at Stuttgart. 20 years on, it still looks modern with its clearly timeless design as the day it was conceived. Introduced in the autumn of 1994 and claimed to be 80% new, it sported a more curvaceous bodywork than before with a number of new panels creating a much smoother and more integrated look whilst still every inch a 911 in the traditional manner with the profiles of the doors and rear quarter window styling remaining unchanged from earlier models.Finished in Speed Yellow with a contrasting grey leather interior and desirable yellowbacked sports seats, this 993 Carrera was originally supplied new to Chaplelgate Porsche in Portsmouth on 1st August 1995. The factory specification featured numerous highly desirable options, including a full digital sound package (the Becker CDR22 stereo itself sounds great but unfortunately the headunit lights are out), complete with the remote unit in the drivers armrest, still in situ and fully functioning. A Tiptronic S gearbox with switch buttons on the steering wheel, a rear windscreen wiper, air conditioning and a sunroof, although it should be noted that the a/c in this instance whilst runs, does not blow cold. The exhaust also benefits from Fabspeed stainless steel exhaust tailpipes. The hardback sports seats are a special option as these are the same ones that were fitted to the 993 RS 'Comfort' model, the car also rides on 17 new Cupdesign wheels with Pirelli PZero tyres to the front and Bridgestone Potenzas to the rear, all with good tread. There is some minor bubbling at the bottom of the windscreen, otherwise the bodywork and overall integrity of the car is extremely good as you would expect from a wellbuilt car with over 12 years of continuous ownership. Alongside the extensive history file detailing everything from service invoices, of which it has never lacked, to its entire MoT history back to 2008 and on to such extensive communication between not only the vendor and Transport for London but all works, parts and additional repairs. The servicing itself has been undertaken initially by Porsche main agents but more recently, by Porsche specialists Leighs Garage during the vendors devoted stewardship with his dedication even recorded into a note book detailing movements with dates and milage of each and every trip, including, incredibly, even when the car was simply moved a few feet and simply run up to temp.Needless to say, it still comes with its original Porsche owners pack, stamped by Porsche together with the guarantee, maintenance booklet and spare alarm and ignition keys and the original Certificate of Authenticity. It still retains its original factory build/ C16 sticker under the bonnet and the electric sunroof still works perfectly. This represents the epitome of the Porsche backcatalogue that still illustrates the final incarnation of the aircooled 911. This lovely, earlyproduction Carrera presents a fine opportunity to own a Porsche 993 from long term and caring ownership together with extensive paperwork and at a realistic price point.
