The 1975 Jaguar XJC 4.2 is a rare pillarless coupe blending British elegance with muscular presence. Based on the XJ saloon, it features a long, low roofline, frameless windows, and graceful proportions. Its 4.2 litre inlinesix delivers smooth, torquerich performance, perfectly matched to a relaxed grandtouring character. Inside, leather, wood, and refinement dominate. Today, the XJC stands as an underappreciated classic with undeniable charisma. Collectors value its rarity, period styling, and distinctive driving feel despite complex maintenance demands and rising interest.This delightful Jaguar presents extremely well in the original colour combination of Greensand coachwork with contrasting Olive leather interior. This handsome example has recently benefitted from an impressive recommissioning at a cost of over £7,500. Work undertaken included refurbishing the fuel tanks, replacing coolant, spark plugs and ignition leads, tidying of bodywork and treating the leather interior. Also present is the original Jaguar Passport to Service showing details of the cars first owner and early service work.
