Iver1 Previous Owner, This Lot will be sold at auction at Symphony of Spring; Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 7th March. Comprehensively maintained by model specialists Type 2 DetectivesDelightful Baby Blue over cream specificationTastefullyenhanced exampleDevised as an evolution of the Beetle Volkswagens Type 1 the Volkswagen Type 2 was introduced in 1950 and produced until 1967. This 13window example was purchased from model specialists Type 2 Detectives three years ago and has since been thoroughly enjoyed by our vendors. The delightful Baby Blue paintwork is clean overall, with some orange peel effect in some areas and a few small stone chips, but our vendor assures us that no rust is present, as rustpreventative coatings have been applied. The 1600cc twinport, ADcode engine has been regularly serviced and runs well. The Microbuss last MoT was in April 2024, and the bus has been in storage since, hence the lack of a more recent MoT test certificate. Upgrades to the Microbus include front disc brakes and a dual master cylinder system with a remote servo unit for enhanced braking efficiency. Our vendor advises us that all electrics have been upgraded. The engine has recently had a new carburettor and fuel pump fitted. The suspension has been lowered by three inches, and incorporates a fully adjustable front axle, as well as adjustable rear spring plates for easy height adjustment.Inside the Microbus, youll find a beautiful cabinet custommade by Vanwurks and installed fewer than three years ago by Type 2 Detectives the rear cargo area includes a new 12V fridge and flushmounted modern sink and hob with a glass top. New leisure battery to run the auxiliary appliances such as a heater. The leisure battery is paired with a split charge relay system to retain start battery charge voltage with the engine off, and a new, thermostatically controlled auxiliary Propex heater has been fitted. Other features include a fullwidth rock 'n' roll bed with seatbelts for three individuals. Two rear seatbelts are threepoint inertia seatbelts. At the rear there is an overhead locker for additional storage. In summary, this is a charming example of Volkswagens classic Microbus, in a delightful specification, and ready for its next owner to enjoy. Consigned by Charlie McCreery
