Engine rebuild in 2018Gearbox rebuild in 2024. Wonderful period colour combination. The Porsche 911 2.7S was produced from 1974 to 1977, the 2.7S featured a 2.7 litre flat-six engine derived from the legendary 911 Carrera RS, delivering around 165bhp. Despite tighter emissions regulations of the era, Porsche managed to retain the cars signature performance and driving excitement. The lightweight chassis, rear-engine layout, and precise handling made the 2.7S a joy to drive. Visually, it carried the distinctive long-bonnet design of early 911s but with impact bumpers introduced to meet U.S. safety standards. The combination of classic styling, mechanical simplicity, and everyday usability helped cement its reputation as a drivers car. Today, the 911 2.7S is celebrated by enthusiasts for its balance of vintage charm, spirited performance, and connection to Porsches motorsport heritage. Our vendor purchased this example in 2016, not long after its arrival in the UK. The car really stood out to him because of its fabulous colour combination of Pastel Yellow with a red interior, so very 70s! The exterior was resprayed in 2017, but the interior really didnt require much attention, it had a very nice patina, which has been kept. The carpets, however, were replaced in 2020. Mechanically, the engine was rebuilt in 2018, followed by a gearbox rebuild and clutch replacement in 2024. This represents excellent value in the air-cooled Porsche market, and our vendor will miss the car very much. Supplied to auction with a V5C registration document and invoices for the works carried out in recent years. Consigned by Fraser Smith
