Lighter, stiffer and more refined than its predecessor, the 981 featured a new chassis, wider track, improved aerodynamics and a more luxurious interior. Powered by a naturally aspirated flat-six engine mounted amidships, it delivered exceptional balance and driver engagement, particularly when paired with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox.
