EXTERIOR: Topaz Blue over grey, an attractive colour combo well suited to the E46 M3. This low mileage example has just been treated to a full machine polish by our in-house detailer so the paintwork looks fantastic. The body is generally excellent with no major wear or bubbling on the arches, the only negatives to report being a dusting of light frontal stone chips and one or two discreetly touched-in marks. The lights are all clear and undamaged, and the electric hood also looks to be in first-rate condition with no marks or discolouration. Filling the arches are 18-inch M double-spoke alloys shod in Pirelli tyres all round. INTERIOR: The pale interior is a fantastic contrast against the blue, feeling bright and airy even with the roof up. Still very soft to the touch, the Nappa leather shows only the lightest of wear across the seats with an excellent shine-free texture throughout. The dash, door cards, and steering wheel are also very smart with only a few small marks to commonly scratch-prone areas such as the driver's door pull and ash tray lid. The complementing grey carpets are well protected in the footwells by genuine BMW overmats in black, and in the boot the wind deflector is still neatly stored in the original case. Everything in the cabin works as it should including the desirable heated seat option and air conditioning that has just been re-charged. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: The S54 is an iconic six-cylinder powerplant revving to 8,000rpm with an intoxicating rasp at higher revs. In this car it's paired with BMW's SMG transmission that ensures fast shifting through all six gears with a direct and consistent flow of power at all engine speeds. The mechanical condition of this E46 is excellent; the boot floor was professionally reinforced in 2023 and a full check over and service have just been completed at the current mileage of 49k. The last two services were carried out independently but all prior services were done at BMW. HISTORY: First registered in November 2001 this pre-facelift E46 M3 has driven only 49k miles. Reading through the accompanying paperwork it's clear the car has been well maintained with all services carried out at BMW up until the last Inspection II at 48,541 miles.
