The Mondial T was released in 1989 and was the final variant of the Mondial. The Mondial was seen as a huge success for Ferrari having made nearly 8,000 models during its production cycle, however, within the final T Variant, only 858 3.4 T Coupes were ever produced and there are believed to have been only 45 manual right-hand drive examples. It gains its name as the 3.4 T as although Mondials of previous years had both their engines and gearboxes mounted transversely; the Mondial T kept the transverse orientation for the gearbox but had a longitudinally mounted engine. This configuration of engine and gearbox formed a T shape and allowed the engine to sit lower in the chassis for better handling (a set up still used within the modern V8 range) and it gained a new 3.4L engine.. She has previously been shown as the front cover of Car & Classic & has had only 9 previous keepers, her most recent, purchasing her in 2017 from Foskers Ferrari Specialists (who had supplied this Mondial already once previously). She has been superbly looked after with a huge folder, thick with invoices dating back to 1992 & includes nearly every old MOT dating back to 1992, which according to the paperwork provided shows she has passed every MOT but 2 in its whole life!! The most recent owner has kept this classic Ferrari well-maintained by Lancaster Official Ferrari Colchester.
