Have used Porsche colchester for a number of years but my last couple of experiences with them have been very disappointing. Parts I ordered arriving broken, reported to the parts department only to be ignored. Then service and coding work carried out incorrectly. When bringing this to there attention with proof of the errors I was what I should have done at the time, which turned out to be exactly what I tried to do only to be told..... no. Will be taking my business to another Porsche dealer in future.

Having grown a little tired of my BMW, I decided it was time to explore the Porsche Macan. My first stop was Porsche Mayfair, where, despite my clear interest, the staff seemed determined to set a world record for “least effort made to sell a car.” Let’s just say enthusiasm was not on the menu. Undeterred, I contacted Porsche Colchester through their general enquiry form. To my surprise, I received a prompt and courteous reply from Steve, who, without knowing me at all, offered to arrange a test drive. A week later, my wife and I were warmly welcomed at the dealership and taken on a proper drive — a refreshing contrast to my Mayfair experience. Although a change in the car’s specification initially gave me pause, Steve quickly found an alternative Macan in stock, negotiated a fair deal, and made the process seamless. When I collected the car, I was given a thorough handover (an hour well spent learning how everything worked) and even received a thoughtful follow-up afterwards to ensure I was still delighted with it. In short: if you’d like to be ignored, Mayfair is your place. If you’d actually like to buy a Porsche — and enjoy the experience while doing so — head to Colchester and ask for Steve.

Over the years my family and I have bought countless Porsches from this OPC. I have known Ian for quarter of a century. What a great experience, Mr Waller and T were so helpful and knowledgeable from speccing the car, to talking me through the tech all the way through to the revealing the car where James went above and beyond to get my son a present to match the car (out of his own money!). I had an amazing time at the Porsche Centre Colchester! Ian, the Sale executive, was fantastic. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed every part of the buying process, from the first contact to the delivery. If I ever decide to upgrade to a Porsche 911, I’ll definitely reach out to Ian again.
