According to Stevenage cars if they fix an issue within the three months warranty of purchasing a car and the fault reappears 8 months later it is 'not their responsiblity to fix it'. I bought a fiat 500 from them 8 months ago. Whilst under warranty the boot didn't lock and the passenger door handle broke. They wasted my time several times telling me the bring the car in and when I turned up the bloke to look at the car wasn't there. Eventually the door handle got fixed but it is now broken again 8 months later and they won't fix it. The fixed the boot lock even eventually after me asking about it on a previous visit and them telling me there was nothing wrong with it. I had been driving around with an unlocked boot for a month. When they did fix the boot lock they told me this wasn't covered under warranty didn't explain this very well and were quite frankly rude. In the six months I had this 2008 Fiat 500 from them I've had to replace two tyres, the exhaust, part of the suspension, the ABS light came on and needs fixing and the clutch is not working properly so I stall very very easily. The voice control system does not work properly. Definitely not worth the \xa33,150 I paid for the car. AVOID!!!!

Bought a VW polo from Stevenage Cars and the whole experience was very pleasant. Scott was very friendly and we didn’t feel pressured at all and he even trusted us to take the car for a test drive on our own so we could get a feel for if it was right for us. There was a stone chip on the bonnet that had been filled in in the wrong colour by the previous owner and he even took that off and used the correct colour so it blended in much better. All in all we felt very comfortable with Scott and would recommend Stevenage Cars.

Went to see the R8 they have. It was a very strange experience. They were pretty combative when i asked to test drive it, even after multiple phone calls to discuss the car and a test drive. They refused to even drive it with me as a ride along. Lots of red flags everywhere. I assume there is an issue with it and so trying to wait for someone to buy it without having driven it. All in just not a good vibe. I went elsewhere and purchased one as GSW by Yeovil a few days later. If it really is in good order, you lost a sale by being incredibly difficult.

Bought a red punto for a first car after having visited the lot a couple times. Staff were plenty accommodating and the whole process was simple enough. Had a slight fault with the rear light but they had it fixed within a day without any fuss at all. Great communication, and great place to look if you’re a first time buyer.
