Andrew said over the last 2 months he awaits postage confirmation of the second key. As I still haven’t received it this means it hasn’t been posted. Why keep the key - I am beginning to believe he wrongly advertised and there is no key? However, as he emailed and stated many times there is a second key, is he keeping it to steal back the vehicle…surely it is in his best interest to give me the second key. So – Until I receive receipt of the key this review proves that Andrew incorrectly describe vehicles and indeed lies. I only wish this review had been on his site whilst I was reading up on Brookfield Autos I would have given him a wide berth. When I asked about the cost of window tinting his reply was ‘take it or leave it’. I should have left it there and then with that response. On delivery of the vehicle (which was a rigmarole in itself) it was too late to challenge the ‘professionalism’ of the ‘professional clean’ he claims occurs on vehicles. I had to purchase a steam cleaner to get rid of the awful brown stain on the front seat and I am sure he was embarrassed as me when I was greeted with old, dried mud over the handles of the seat when we opened the door. The first day I drove the car I emailed a concern about the banging at the back of the vehicle when going over rough tarmac. He hasn’t followed up on this and it still is not resolved. When I was struggling registering the vehicle with the AA service he provides, he claimed he has never had to help anyone before…in other words, he isn’t going to start now. He still hasn’t asked if I was successful. It took me days. I can only hope the advisories on the failed mot (after I purchased it) have been rectified, as Andrew has stated and I will not have to change the brake pads. When I wrote my original review stating that my request for the service report and second key is getting ignored Andrew emailed me claiming I was blackmailing him and that he had gone above and beyond with his customer service. He sold and delivered a car that I bought. I expect nothing less. It is not unreasonable to request everything he advertised and I paid for to come with the car. And if his customer service as described above is above and beyond then he needs to change vocation. This is not blackmail. This is my review, until the key is received. I have asked Andrew how he wishes to proceed with resolving the dispute.

A month on and the only thing left now to sort is the second key as advertised and promised. Responsive until you've paid for the vehicle, then customer service after that lacks. Make sure you get what you paid for. It's a pity I am not able to fully enjoy being owner of this vehicle yet. Will amend this post if anything changes.

As I know nothing about cars I was very nervous about buying one …there are so many horror stories about people getting ripped off by unscrupulous sellers! I needn’t have worried. Andrew at Brookfield was a pleasure to do business with… no hard sell just clear explanations! It helped that the car I was interested in was just what I was looking for… low mileage, great condition and at a fantastic price. The urban myth about used car business has been dispelled in Wigan! Following unsuccessful attempts to buy a car I came upon these guys ... father and son, Andrew and Ben. They had the Vauxhall Mokka in the colour we wanted and we agreed to buy with a deposit paid. From then to the viewing of the car and purchase, they were professional and thorough. Going over and above, a 9 month MOT was replaced with a new one, and advisories on brake discs and pads (expensive items) and a new sump replaced. The warranty included in the purchase price is an additional and welcome bonus! The site has everything needed to produce excellent cars from mechanical repairs, MOT and valeting to make sure the car is "up and ready" for collection with all necessary documentation prepared. Highly recommended.
