The ultimate specification split screen being factory German built, UK supplied from new in Right Hand Drive format. 1967 was the last year of production in Germany of the T1 Split Screen and when they had brought the design to its peak.The bus is also a walk-through model meaning you can walk from the front to the rear without the need to exit. These factors make combined make for a highly desirable vehicle.The icing on the cake is that the bus also features a full width side elevating Dormobile Roof. We have seen / installed many roofs over the years to these buses and can really vouch for the Dormobile version as being not only the most iconic, but certainly one of the very best roofs out there in terms of quality and design.It complements the bus so well and allows for not only much increased headroom, but it also has twin fold out bunks / hammock frames with canvases suitable for children / small adults to sleep. This effectively makes the bus alone a 4-berth vehicle with further options to add an awning to increase space even more. There are various options for this that can be discussed with us if desired.This bus has undergone an extensive restoration where it has been stripped down and meticulously prepared prior to being primed and painted in Pastel Blue / Off White. These colours flawlessly compliment this era of motoring and capture the iconic feel of the 1960s. The bus has had a fortune spent on upgrades alone to the mechanical specification so that it drives in a way that can accommodate modern roads far better than it would have from factory spec. We specialise in the build of bespoke interiors, particularly for these buses and over the years we have optimised what we believe to be the best design / layout for a split screen bus. We prefer to install a full width rock n roll bed over the smaller width ones as we consider comfort for camping / sleeping of primary importance. Therefore, you have a full width rock n roll bed which in effect starts as a 3 person forward facing seat that pulls down with ease to create a large bed. The quality of the components we use shouldnt be confused with that of a lot of other interiors. We have tried and tested many products over the years and have hand selected the very best in all areas.The main cabinet sits behind the drivers bulkhead and is built to accommodate the latest Waeco NRX80 fridge which is installed using their matching flush mount frame kit. This is the best camper van fridge on the market in our professional opinion. It runs on 12v and automatically switches to 240v when connected to mains hookup without you even needing to flick a switch. It also has a fully removable freezer section so you can choose how to manage your internal space. There is a CANSRLFL1402 double gas burner / sink with tap. These are equally fantastic and work well within the space. The rock n roll skirting board is built with curved edges to sit flush with the bed frame and the cabinet has curved corners to match. They also both feature raised and recessed plinths to allow for an ambient RGBW LED lighting kit to be installed which can be set to cool white, warm white or an enormous array of different colours for effect as well as cycling through the colours for party mode. Great fun and also very functionalThe flooring is top quality LVT featuring premium chrome inlays for feel of opulence throughout. This comes at great expense to us but really sets off the impression of the bus and gives a unique quality look and feel. The bus has been fully upholstered throughout in Mystic Grey vinyl with luxury light blue fabric inserts on the front seats, door cards and all across the bed cushions. The fabric on the bed cushions has a lovely soft feel and unlike vinyl on top will not get sticky when camping if its hot.
