INTERIOR: The sports seats are trimmed in black leather, all presenting very nicely indeed. While not entirely unmarked, finer details such as the interior plastics remain to a good standard, and everything works as it should including the air conditioning, electric seat adjustments, and the original BMW Business cassette radio. The multifunction M Sport steering wheel feels great in hand with an excellent grain to the leather. The footwell carpets are still protected by the original BMW mats, and the boot area is also clean and tidy with the tool kit and warning triangle both present and correct. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: At the heart of this E46 is BMW's silky-smooth 2.5-litre M54 straight-six. It's paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission offering both relaxed cruising and plenty of performance when called upon.
