The C-Max is based on a Ford Focus platform and mechanicals, so it's as reliable as they come, and is cheap to run. This is a car that combines MPV practicality with the fairly compact dimensions of a family hatch. The 1.8 litre DuraTEC petrol engine provides the C-Max with capable performance and offers a good balance between economy and outright grunt. The 1.8 litre engine performs well and is smooth and quiet. The gears are also very smooth and the clutch operates perfectly with plenty bite - It feels like a well sorted example. Because these cars were popular with families, many have had a hard life, so it's rare to find one like this, that has been properly looked after and so superbly presented. Our car has a bright and glossy shine, with metallic blue coachwork which is very well presented. You can see a small dent in the N/S rear quarter which will be removed prior to sale by paintless dent repair.
