Exceptional customer service We recently purchased a 10-year-old Vauxhall Adam, with a 2 year warranty. This car was a significant purchase for my 17-year-old daughter, who saved up diligently to buy her first car to learn to drive in. However, shortly after taking possession, we encountered an unexpected issue with the heat pump. The way the team handled it transformed a potential headache into a testament to their dedication. Lucy, from the sales team, was an absolute star. She immediately took ownership of the problem and provided me with her personal mobile number, ensuring I was kept informed every step of the way. The effort they went to in resolving the issue was genuinely above and beyond. Joe went out of his way to personally pick up a part from Whitby, and spent hours testing the car to make sure it was returned to us with no issues. Once the repair was completed, Lucy went the extra mile again. She personally delivered the car back to our house with a full tank of petrol, a Millie's cookie and a thoughtful selection of little car gifts for my daughter. An unexpected touch that made my daughter's first car purchase very special. I would recommend Joseph David Simm Ltd, the dedication from Lucy and Joe is above and beyond.

What I thought was a great friendly service and well run business is now a complete shambles. Bought a BMW 1 series just over a week ago and had none stop issues on the engine, drive train the lot. These guys left the lights on the car all night before I even got the car and drained the battery before I even paid the money. They also just plug the car in with the computer and clear the codes and tell you the car is fine and will be an error. Joe in particular the ,”Boss” has an extremely bad attitude with customers and treats you like utter dirt. I had also left a note with jobs that needed doing on the car and left it with them for over a day. Well as you will see in the photo below this business are not very friendly by writing the word “Prick” on the sheet of paper. I’d strongly advise anyone not to buy from these cowboys and to not take your car to their repair shop as they will send it back with more issues on it. DO NOT BE FOOLED into giving the good review for a free service within a year either! Very much disrespectful people there!

I haven’t had to have any dealings with JDS personally for a vehicle however I will say Joe, the man in charge is a very fair, generous, likeable character. I am an athlete and he sponsors me monthly to continue doing what I do and as part of our arrangement, I recommend the business to any friends or family that have any car troubles or are in the market for buying a new one. After personal recommendation they have got back to me thanking me for this as they are happy with the service. Not only is the garage highly recommended but they also support the community as well. I have left this review on behalf of myself for knowing Joe personally giving little bit of a background on who you are leaving your vehicle with, in trusted hands and on behalf of my friends that have used the garage.
