MITSUBISHI JEEP 1953-1969 CJ3 BJ10 WILLYS 2.2 ARMY MILITARY WW2 JEEP 4X4This is a vintage collectable Army style CJ3 BJ10 Jeep with a hurricane engine and only 27696 miles , it is extremely Rare to see this vehicle in the UK , This vehicle is also a historic vehicle so it is Tax and MOT Exempt. It was first registered in Japan in 1969 but we believe it is a 1953-1954 vehicle going from the chassis identificationThe CJ-3B was produced almost unchanged by Willys Motors and Kaiser Jeep for nearly fifteen years. But in cases where the original serial number is lost, or someone is trying to determine if a part is correct for a particular Jeep, there are some clues to determine at least the approximate year of production. This page covers the interior of the Jeep, and a future page will detail mechanical and exterior body changes.Half of the Jeeps currently registered in the CJ-3B Serial Number and Engine Number List are 1953-54 models, built prior to the debut of the CJ-5. The lack of reliable figures from the 1960s makes it difficult to estimate total production, but certainly many of the CJ-3Bs surviving in North America are from the first few years of its production. They are usually easily identified by the presence of five separate gauges on the dashboard, similar to earlier Jeep models. The L-shaped parking brake handle is consistent with this period or with the late 1950s. Some handles were mounted below the dash rather than through it -- I am unsure exactly when this was done. Brake and clutch pedals throughout the 1950s were painted metal. The driver's seat was mounted to the floor of the Jeep. The starter switch was also floor-mounted, separate from the keyed on/off ignition switch. According to the 1965 Service Manual, the floor-mount switch was used until the five gauges were replaced.Perhaps the most obvious change during the history of the CJ-3B was the introduction of the new instrument cluster (30K GIF), shortly after it appeared in the new CJ-5 model. The five gauges which were essentially the same as had been found in all earlier CJ's, were replaced by a speedometer with integral fuel and temperature gauges, and warning lights for amps and oil pressure, early in the 1957 model year.Willys documents suggest this began with VIN 57348 34452, but owner Tom McAfee has reported the cluster is installed on his CJ-3B 57348 35422. The new- and old-style dashes may have been interspersed on the assembly line for a while. The first 3B's that had the cluster had the King Seeley version with a silver center and the word "Willys". Apparently about a year later it was replaced by the plain black Stewart-Warner cluster.Another feature adopted from the CJ-5 was the driver's seat mounted to the side of the body rather than the floor pan. The seats were also now fully upholstered. This vehicle is not a Barn find , Not a restoration project nor has it undergone any restoration , It is a genuine imported collectable Classic car without the signs of the British weather .This vehicle is an ideal investment opportunity , You could put this car away and your money will grow , Classic cars are better investment than property in this current financial climate .We believe we have the best variety of the most unusual cars that you will find in the UKA down payment / Payment of intent will secure this vehicleAll of our vehicles are imported direct from their country by us personally , They are all handpicked and we try to find that special , unique or limited number of produced vehicles , All vehicles are Pre Inspected in Japan and an Export Certificate is always available for viewing, This will show previous mileages in Japan .

Keith and the team at the Care Warehouse have been absolutely spot on throughout the process of getting our car. Initially responding quickly to my queries on their stock and process through to after sales care when the car we bought developed a minor fault (we bought a 15 year old car) and the best course of action to fix it with the least impact to us. If you're thinking of importing something interesting to drive I cannot recommend them enough.

First time I have bought an import from Japan and it was German. Keith was very helpful and let us test drive and poke around the car for 90 mins. Everything was straight forward and he made it very easy. Highly recommend a browse of there website. The condition of the cars coming from a place where salt isn't used on the road is unbelievable. Even though more than 10 years old my car is better than a car just several months old in the UK.

People were friendly enough. Just be sure to make an appointment. Didn't get to view the car I was interested in as I just turned up while working near by and didn't have an appointment

I bought a JDM car from them and overall had a very good experience but after a few months of ownership of the vehicle, a lot of issues starting cropping up. Some of them will have been present when the vehicle was first sold to me. Due to the fact that I bought this car during the COVID-19 pandemic, I didn't see the car before buying it. (Yeah, rookie mistake - lesson learned.) The vehicle I bought looked clean on the photos and fair enough it is a nice example however the were a lot of problems which popped up whilst driving the car for the first few months. They are as follows: - The windscreen wipers were ruined - The windscreen washer fluid was like milk - The windscreen washers themselves (front) were not working properly - The boot area has a huge leak (still present) - The car somehow passed the MOT even though the windscreen wipers and washers were pretty much ineffective and there were no advisories - The rear bumper has a metal plate on top to protect the paint when loading the boot, the plate is bent and out of shape and has damaged the paint on the tailgate - The number plates were mounted badly. - The tyres despite having good tread; were 19 years old with a date code of 1401 The most concerning thing about this is how it passed an MOT because it was not roadworthy. This dealership which specialises in imported vehicles should test their vehicles thoroughly before sale to ensure they are fully roadworthy. A rear wheel drive car with 19 year old tyres is a recipe for disaster. Luckily I caught on to it quickly and replaced them without wrapping myself and the car around a lamppost on a wet roundabout. Overall the experience itself was fine but the car had a lot of simple problems which should have been fixed before sale.
