SUVs are one of the most desirable and popular types of vehicles right now.
Their raised driving positions, efficient powertrains and practical interiors mean that almost every British family wants one of these very attractive propositions.
So, if you’re looking at the second-hand market, which one is the best SUV?
We’ve compiled a list of the best second-hand SUVs you can buy on Cazoo today.
Kia Sportage
It’s one of Britain’s best-selling cars and is one of the best SUVs on the market today.
The Kia Sportage offers a dynamic driving experience, while feeling premium inside and providing a decent amount of interior space for occupants.
There is a wide range of engines, including a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol, a regular hybrid and a plug-in hybrid powertrain too.
Plus – when new– all Sportages came with Kia’s seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty.
Second-hand prices for a decent example start from £17,000 for a three-year-old petrol model with low mileage, or expect to pay £23,000 for a 2023 hybrid model with 30,000 miles on the clock.

Hyundai Tucson
The Tucson sits on the same running gear as the aforementioned Kia Sportage and also sits at the top of the best-sellers list in the UK.
Just like the Kia, the Tucson is good to drive, has a great amount of interior space for occupants as well as being available in several different trim levels that offer a decent amount of standard equipment.
From new, all cars would have come with a five-year or 100,000-mile warranty and there is even a sporty N-Line model, which gets beefier exterior and interior styling.
Looking at the second-hand market, you’ll typically spend around £16,000 for a 2022 car in petrol guise, or around £19,200 for an N-Line model with 27,000 miles on the clock.

BMW X3
The X3 has proved to be a very popular choice for the German marque, as it represents a premium image without breaking the bank to run.
There is a wide range of different engines available, plus the cabin feels well-made and of high quality, and features plenty of toys as standard.
The looks may not be to everyone’s taste, but the X3’s well setup driving dynamics and low running costs makes this a very tempting contender.
Three-year-old examples are priced from £31,000 with 24,000 miles on the clock for an ‘M Sport’ model.

Dacia Duster
The Dacia Duster is all about value for money and the latest version is the best iteration yet.
It’s available with a choice of petrol and hybrid powertrains, as well as offering more interior space than before and greater levels of standard equipment.
Also, with its square design, it definitely stands out on the road along with its hidden rear door handles, which give the car a sleeker three-door-like appearance.
Its interior isn’t of the highest quality and it’s not the most refined at higher speeds, but you can forgive the Duster on the account of its budget credentials.
Used examples are priced from around £24,000 for an 2024 car with just 8,000 miles on the clock.
Toyota C-HR
The Toyota C-HR is a great all-rounder on the fact that it looks great, but it’s also good to drive and provides ultra-low running costs.
That’s thanks to the standard hybrid powertrain or there is a plug-in hybrid model that is capable of travelling a claimed 41 miles on electric power.
The C-HR also features a coupe-esque body style, hidden rear door handles and flush front ones, giving a really distinctive look and character.
Expect to pay around £23,500 for a hybrid with 13,000 miles on the odometer, or £25,000 for plug-in hybrid car.

Skoda Kodiaq
The Skoda Kodiaq is not just one of the best SUVs, but one of the best family cars, full stop.
It comes as standard with seven-seats, has a premium cabin and has lots of handy storage compartments dotted about the cabin to make this the ultimate family wagon.
Plus, with a range of efficient petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains, there’s a Kodiaq to suit everyone.
The Kodiaq’s driving experience focuses more on comfort rather than handling, with the suspension being very soft, which makes it a great mile-muncher.
Used prices vary depending on which variant you go for, with standard petrol and diesel models priced from around £30,000 or PHEV models coming in at £34,300.
Volvo XC90
Volvo is all about comfort and safety and the XC90 is one of the firm’s longest-living SUVs.
Launched in 2002, the XC90 is only into its second-generation, with the Swedish firm having just given it a few nips and tucks to keep it looking fresh for many years.
The interior is very comfortable with a nice blend of pale wood and leather upholstery, while the seats are some of the most comfortable fitted to a car.
And, all XC90s come with seven-seats, with the third row actually big enough to fit average-sized adults in them.
If you want one of these family-friendly SUVs, three-year-old examples sit around £36,500.
