Fitted with a 5.7L Chevy Goodwrench V8 and TH350 automatic gearbox. Unique and perfect for shows. This unique Diamond T truck is a striking example of Derek Drinkwaters talent as a car builder and fabricator. Originally acquired by Derek in America in 2009, the truck was reimagined on a 1980 GMC chassis. The result is a vehicle that combines the commanding presence of a classic Diamond T with modern performance.After purchase, Derek drove the truck across the United States, visiting shows and events on the way to Los Angeles, earning recognition and awards for its distinctive character. Once imported to the UK, it made appearances at major automotive gatherings, including Goodwood, where Brian May played guitar on the back. In 2018 Derek subsequently converted the truck into a fully functional car transporter, complete with an electronic winch on the rear, making it ideal for transporting classic cars safely and with ease. It was used in all episodes of the TV series The Repair Lot on Discovery TV.Our vendor acquired the truck around three years ago and has used it to carry classic cars to shows, demonstrating its versatility and striking presence.
