Before restoration began, this was without a doubt the most solid UK Right Hand Drive bus we have ever seen, almost as though the bus had been time warped from the 1960s. The previous owner was a long time employee of Alan Schofields Ltd, who are one of the most renowned Classic VW parts suppliers in the country, so it was expected that the bus would have been very carefully selected from the off.This bus formed an ideal basis for a sympathetic restoration, so we stripped back the entire shell and fully repainted it in year correct and all time favourite original Volkswagen colours, Titian Red & Beige Grey. The paintwork has been prepared to a glass like shine throughout and looks stunning from every angle.At the same time we decided to fit a vertically elevating pop top roof conversion, which is one of the most popular conversions / upgrades you can do to a split screen, allowing for additional space inside.
