Ford Transit 1982 - 2.5 DI

1982 Ford Transit MK2 2.5 DI which has recently been purchased and imported from Malta. Its a solid example underneath but is cosmetically challenged and will need paintwork. All the import duty has been paid and we will do the NOVA declaration and apply for the UK V5 for the new owner.Body - MK2 Transit SWB. Very solid and original underneath. Paintwork is quite poor and there is evidence of previous repairs on the bottom of most panels which will need redone. Bubbling on nearside wing and front lip on bonnet has disintegrated, so will need a bonnet. Glass pop up sunroof fittedMechanics - 2.5 DI with 5 speed box. Van starts no problem and sounds healthy enough. Good gearbox, clutch and brakes. steering is very heavy and definitely play in the steering box. Van would benefit from a good service and chyeckover. Spare leaf springs and a towbar in the rear. Bonnet pull cable is snapped.Interior - All pretty standard. Seats are original and are useable but not mint. Good door cards. It has a bulkhead fitted. Rear floor and sides are plylined. Wheels - Aftermarket alloys with original spareGood basis for a project as solid underneath. You are welcome to come and see the van.
