Volkswagen Transporter 2015 (65) - 2.0 BiTDI 180PS Sportline 60 Kombi Van DSG

I saw a car that I liked with this company and I email Mark to say I was coming down on Thursday to see it. When i arrived i saw the car sitting in the corner so I went over to see it. Mark saw me and came over with the key. He was a very nice man to talk too. The car at first view was dirty (ok it can be washed) scraches on the bumper and not very clean inside. It was a convertible so he showed me that the roof was work after he had to pull a set of golf clubs out the boot. We went for a test drive and i really like the car. When we got back to the yard I told him I wanted it so what do we do now? He said i don't need to do anything. I asked him about part exchanging my Mitsubishi eclipse and he said that it was really his Forte. He usually deals in more sporty cars but he knew a guy who would probably buy it from him. He took alot of photos. I phone the finance company and the contacted him. I went online on the Saturday and it said that the car was sold so I assumed that I had got it. I tried to phone him and I was getting ignored. I phoned on the Sunday and he told me he was out to lunch with his family and that he would phone me tomorrow. I asked him about the part exchange and said the the guy who was buying it from him wasn't giving him enough money. Mark said he would phone me tomorrow. I never heard from him on the Monday so I phone him. My call was ignored. I left a voice asking him what was happening and that I hate being left in the dark. Still no reply. I phoned on the Tuesday and I was getting ignored again. My friend said that why don't I use his phone? So I did. And gues what? Mark answered it right away. I asked him what was happening with my car and he said "What do you mean your car?" I said " the convertible!" He said that it's not my car as i didn't leave a deposit. I told him that I had a deposit that day and you never asked for one, I had a \xa32000 deposit. He then changed his attitude and said that he would need to see what the guy is going to do with the car. I said "Just forget it!!!" And I put the phone down on him. I did read the reviews on this website and they were all very good up to 2020 then things just went wrong. He has treated other customers the same way As for the car!!! Why put a car on the market when the car is no where near ready to sell? I wouldn't deal with this guy unless you like to be ignored. UPDATE I would just like to add that after posting this review Mark did phone me and was so apologetic. He could not apologise enough. He if there was any way to make up for it that he would. It was nice of him to apologise and I accepted it but I did get treated that way and the damage was done. It's a pity it took a bad review for him to actually contact me. Mark is a really nice guy and as he said "he is a one man band" If you decide to buy a car from this company then I would do so because he has really good deals but make sure you don't get ignored. I hope this review has taught him a lesson.

We've just arrived home after buying an Audi A3 from Mark today. What an extremely pleasant experience all round. We viewed the car last weekend and decided to buy; so two visits with Mark. What a genuine man he is; very much a people person and his knowledge of cars is very, very good. Looking around the business forecourt it's clear Mark only deals in decent cars. I can only imagine he has no interest in anything other than decent. And, my goodness, he does have some impressive, quality cars. There are more to choose from at the back of the premises; not just at the front. In any event, Mark is a Car Broker and, therefore, has contacts nationwide so, if you're looking for a particular car that he doesn't have in stock he will source it for you and negotiate a price. Mark clearly values his clients too; he goes out of his way to build rapport and relationship, in a good way. He is very much a family man and this shows when he is able to engage intelligently and intellectually about family life in general. He shows interest in his clients and this is why, judging by previous reviews, his past clients return to him time and again, as we will do moving forward. Nationwide service too! Contact Mark. You will not be disappointed. A final note.........Mark, you are a decent guy. At no stage did we experience any 'flannel'; just truthful and thorough objectivity. Having previously had a really bad experience of a non-dealership online and high value purchase I was a little apprehensive in taking the same route again. However, I found almost (save for colour, which I now actually love!) the perfect car. I read all the reviews on CarSelect1 which were reassuring and then made a call to Mark who has been fantastic throughout. Really honest, always contactable, friendly, accommodating and helpful. Genuinely it was such a pleasant experience and exactly as it should be when you’re parting with quite a lot of money. Mark was great throughout, helped me sort out a private plate transfer and given we were minimum 5 hours driving time apart very kindly agreed a part way delivery which he did in person which was brilliant (with loads of fuel which was great!). I don’t often leave reviews but conversely I never buy anything apart from the weekly shop without reading them inside out so hopefully if you read this it’ll help you make the right decision to consider Mark at CarSelect1.
