Adlington1973 TRIUMPH TRIDENT T150 WITH MATCHING NUMBERS.Here we have another timeless classic. This Trident T150 is in superb condition for 50+ years old and comes with matching and frame numbers. We have included a Certificate of authenticity confirming a build date of the 14th November 1972.Time Warp Cafe Racer spec in Metallic Purple with a very period Piper 31 exhaust system, single humped race seat like the TT Travelling Marshalls bikes used, chromed mudguards and period 8' conical brakes. This bike has been carefully put together, it's totally period correct, especially in Metallic Purple and is perfect if you're looking for a great example of a early 70's Road Burner.Essentially a 'Tigerandahalf', the Triumph and BSA 750 triples were launched in the UK in 1969, just in time to be upstaged by Honda's fourcylinder CB750. Differences between the Triumph Trident and BSA Rocket 3 were more than just cosmetic: the two models used different frames and in BSA guise the motor's cylinder block was inclined forwards. Only the Trident survived the Group's collapse in 1972, continuing as the T150V (with 5speed gearbox) and later the T160 (using the BSAtype engine). This machine is being sold as a collectors item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require light recommissioning prior to use.
