The 2025 BMW S 1000 RR This is a highperformance superbike that receives significant standard equipment upgrades and aerodynamic refinements for the new model year. While the core engine remains the same, BMW has focused on making the bike more trackfocused and aggressive by incorporating features previously reserved for the highend M series. Key Technical Specifications Engine: 999cc inline fourcylinder with BMW ShiftCam technology. Performance: Produces 210 hp (154 kW) at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm (83.3 lbft) of torque. Throttle: Features a new M Quick Action Throttle with a reduced rotation angle of 58 (down from 72) for more direct response. Weight: Just under 200 kg fully fuelled. Compliance: The engine is now Euro 5+ compliant. Major 2025 Updates The 2025 model year standardises several premium features that were previously optional: Enhanced Aerodynamics: New, larger winglets (derived from the M 1000 RR) generate up to 23.1 kg of downforce at 300 km/h, significantly reducing frontwheel lift during acceleration. Standard Pro Riding Modes: Now includes ""Rain"", ""Road"", ""Dynamic"", ""Race"", and three customisable ""Race Pro"" modes as standard. Upgraded Braking: Features standard M Brakes and front fender brake ducts to improve cooling and stability during intense track use. Electronic Aids: Standard equipment now includes Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with Slide Control, Hill Start Control (HSC) Pro, and Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless up and downshifts. Comfort & Technology Despite its racing pedigree, the S 1000 RR remains one of the most usable superbikes on the road: Creature Comforts: Includes heated grips and cruise control as standard. Display: Uses a 6.5inch TFT screen with comprehensive data logging and connectivity options. Ergonomics: Features a roomy cockpit with a taller windscreen and an 832 mm seat height, making it more accommodating for longdistance riding than many competitors.
