I recently bought a suzuki Vitara from Walters Motor Group, and I’m delighted with the whole experience. I purchased the car remotely, which can be a bit nerve wracking, but Damon made everything feel easy and straightforward. He kept me updated throughout, was honest about the car, and answered every question I had with patience. The car arrived in lovely condition and drives beautifully, exactly as promised. Thank you to Damon and the rest of the team for making the process so smooth. I’m really happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Walters Motor Group! Well deserved 5 star review! Thank you again to Walters Motor Group, especially to Damon!

Bought a car for Walters on the 2nd Jan from Louis, great service from the moment of calling up to book an appointment all the way to buying the car. Very easy sales process and Louis took the time to ensure all my questions were answered. The car (although not collected yet) was immaculate on the day of test driving and matched the pictures on their website perfectly. Can’t wait to take ownership get behind the wheel of my new pride and joy. Edit. Nightmare from the moment I took the car. touch screen Entertainment system did not work at all on day 1 (which they replaced later), GPS didn't work (which they replaced later). Why this wasn't picked up on a pre handover I've no idea. Sunroof stopped working (trip to Kia) Was told before collection by Jake that a "New" gearbox and clutch was being installed in the car due to a fault with the current one. After just about 4000 miles the clutch went bang and I had to be rescued by the AA (which they replaced) however turns out the gearbox was a refurbished one despite being told it would be new. Despite requesting communication with regards to this I was met with silence on numerous occasions. Once new clutch was installed i had a funny noise from the engine, I was advised to take it back so they could take a look, I had advised one the car was up to temp the noise went away, once I arrive i was told to go for a walk and get a coffee while they had a look, once I returned i was informed as the car was warm it was pointless me coming despite this being their recommendation. The mechanic wouldn't talk to me for some reason and left me with Debbie (perfectly helpful) but why i could tell the mechanic what was happening i don't know. This garage is a 30 mile round trip for me and not easy to keep going back and fourth. In conclusion I can not recommend this dealership. Wouldn't surprise me to get a reply to this stating they are still willing to work with me etc, and all they did etc however to be told the gearbox would be new and then completely ignore repeated requests on the subject is enough for me.

Dishonest, cheap and sneaky car dealership! Purchased a car from here in August, upfront cash even added warranty. I did notice a loud squeak whenever braking but I thought this was just the 'new' brakes bedding in they told me were fitted. Touch forward a month or so it was even worse so I took the car to my local garage as I'm located 175 miles away. They told me my rear brakes was extremely bad like I should not even be driving on them they wouldn't pass an MOT. So obviously I quicky asked to change them all be it not happy about it as this should not be happening with a car I have just purchased and had been 'apparently' thoroughly checked. \xa3270 down of my own money I then contacted Walters motor group by email explaining everything and showing them the invoices... My garage even took photos of the brakes for me as proof as well as offering me the brakes/pads back in case I wanted to show Walters however I was not planning to drive 175miles back for this. I was not angry with what has happened although I should be, I just asked if they would do the honourable thing and refund me for the parts not labour as I felt this was fair. No reply for 2 weeks... nothing! I had to call them back twice! to ask why I hadn't had any response to which they told me they hadn't received any email. I told them I had it all saved they then 'magically' found my email and couldn't tell me why it was missed. I eventually got through to a lady in the aftercare department who basically hinted I was lying and these brakes had been checked before sale... not directly calling me a liar but hinting heavily.. I told her I'm not short for cash and my garage even offered to speak to them, the garage I use is a highly respected garage and I've used them for years but Walters seem to think I'm trying to scam them out of rear brakes. I just spent over 9k in cash on a car I don't think I'm that desperate for \xa3200 for some brakes. I just want what I had to pay out of principles. You sold me a car with brakes that was not fit to even be on the road and jeopardised my safety and you expect me to have to pick up the bill for this? Walters finally got back to me and offered me \xa3100 of goodwill for the parts even though I had to pay \xa3200 minus labour. Again stating they can't trust I'm not lying and also I did the wrong thing getting my garage to replace them? I should have gone to them. So you expect me to drive 175 miles on badly corroded disks and spend more money on fuel just for your convenience on an issue that is your own fault by failure to adequately check your cars condition before sale? Apparently this offer is from the owner of the business. Speaks volumes about the standard of pride this owner must have in his business and also the respect towards the clients. Mistakes happen.. I'm not angry you failed to miss these highly corroded brakes however be a grown up, accept your mistake hold your hand up and help your customers instead of being a cheapskate trying to save \xa3100. I'm not short for money. Walters can stick their \xa3100 where the sun doesn't shine but I just want to warn everyone about the shadiness of this company. I might have just got lucky with the fact it was only brakes because I can only imagine how this company would act if it was a bigger fault such as engine or high values items needing repair? From this experience I could almost guarantee you that you'd be ignored and receive no help. Truthfully I would stay clear of Walters as I think this is a cheap company with no morals and will do anything to save money.

We are new to experience our first car in the UK and went to The Walters Motor after seeing good reviews. And as the reviews what exactly says, the Walters gave us the best experience a person could ever imagine. We were looking for a used car and with lot of frustrations and stresses at the back of the mind, we were able to make the correct choice finally, happily. Not only that we were reassured and secured with a good insurance plan as well. And it was a big relief for both of us. And all credits should go to Damon from A to z making everything so smooth. It was perfectly handled by him, where we had no worries about anything at all. He took care of it all. We are really greatful to him . And we always won't think twice to recommend the Walters Motor group!!! Highly recommended 5 starts from us!!!

Where do I start? Myself and my wife who was 35 weeks pregnant at the time we purchased a Ford Kuga from Walter’s garage in April this year. Due to our family expanding we were looking for a bigger car that would last us years. How wrong were we! In total the car was in our possession for a total of 88 days before we were told the car needed a new engine! After hours of carrying out our own research and seeking help from Citizens Advice, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 it clearly states that if a fault is found within the first 6 months of purchase it is assumed by law that it was there at the time of purchase and the burden of proof falls with the dealer/seller to prove it wasn’t. It also states that a repair/replacement should be carried out at the expense of the dealer/ seller with no costs to the consumer. Although Walter’s provided photos of the checks they carried out which none of them had any date stamps on this did not prove that the fault wasn’t there prior to us purchasing the car as research carried out confirms that cracked cylinder blocks will not show up on fault codes. Other research carried out shows a previous owner took the car in for a service due to the same cylinder misfiring which the garage assumed it was the spark plugs (the same assumption as Walter’s). Evidence shows the owner returning multiple times in a small period of time with the same problem as well as losing coolant. Another red flag was finding out that the previous owner was only in possession of the car for 5 months or less. After weeks of communication with the managing director Adam Walter’s we felt due to the unreasonable options we were given and the time we had already lost with being without a car for so long, we had no choice but to negotiate a refund figure and eventually agreed on the figure of \xa38,500. With a total loss of \xa32,800 within the space of less than 3 months. Adam proceeded to deduct from the full refund price, claiming that depreciation can be based on the current market value and the price of a hire car for 3 months which are both false and unjust. I spoke with Citizens advice and was told deductions should only be based on “Usage of the vehicle in the time that we’ve had it, meaning pence per mile. I offered 45p per mile (higher end of the scale which is based on business use). As we had only done 1538 miles since having the car it should have been a total of \xa3692 deduction from the \xa39500 which we paid for the car minus the warranty payment and paint work protection fee that we were told was non refundable. Lastly I would like to add that Walter’s have still gone through with using our warranty which we paid \xa3500 for and non refundable to claim the \xa32,000 to repair the car we no longer have to then sell on. We appreciate people taking the time out to read our very lengthy review. We felt it was important to include every detail of our experience with Walter’s Motor Group and express how much stress and financial strain this has caused to myself and my family for the last 3 months and we hope that if you do decide to purchase a car from Walter’s you do not go through the awful experience we have had.
