We bought a 12 month old CX-5 from Vospers Mazda Exeter. Joshua James did a first class job in helping us decide which CX-5 model would suit us. He explained many features and benefits of each and made the buying experience really enjoyable. Once our car was chosen the body shop made a few small repairs very quickly so the car was ready for collection quicker than expected. At no time did we feel pressured to make a decision. We would certainly use Vospers Mazda Exeter in the future.
I was told verbally over the phone that my car had failed its MOT on the brakes and discs as well as the wiper blades. I was quoted a price of around \xa3650 to do the brakes and discs which I found to be on the expensive side, so said to the service team on the phone that I will come down and pick it up and take it elsewhere to get it done. When I arrived to pick my car up I was told it actually had passed its MOT after all. They were just advisories. I feel like there are some shady practices going on here to pressure people into doing work. I imagine the majority of people will say go ahead as its already in the garage without questioning it. I think this should be investigated and I won't be using them again.
We have just bought a CX30 from Vospers in Exeter. We were very impressed by the service we received especially from Russell Davis who guided us through the complex choices we had to make. Everyone in Vospers seemed happy to help us. Russell spent time to help us sort out the intercracies of setting up the systems in this new car. We are extremely happy with the service he and Vospers have given us, thank you.
I had a frustrating experience with Vospers. When I went to collect my new used car, they took a \xa3250 holding deposit because I didn\u2019t have the V5 for my old vehicle with me. I assumed they would refund it once I provided the V5 a week later, but several weeks passed before I realised they hadn\u2019t refunded me. I had to chase them up to get it back. Be cautious if you are leaving a deposit! Additionally, if you are considering purchasing a used car from Vospers, I highly recommend you do a thorough check of the vehicle. Despite their claim of a "multi-point check," I received the car with a faulty boot and malfunctioning passenger seat controls. [Response to Ed] Yes, I did remove my review after the mechanical issues were rectified. However, this holding deposit issue happened AFTER the remediation, which is really disappointing after the efforts put in by both parties to restore trust.
