Keith and the team at the Care Warehouse have been absolutely spot on throughout the process of getting our car. Initially responding quickly to my queries on their stock and process through to after sales care when the car we bought developed a minor fault (we bought a 15 year old car) and the best course of action to fix it with the least impact to us. If you're thinking of importing something interesting to drive I cannot recommend them enough.
First time I have bought an import from Japan and it was German. Keith was very helpful and let us test drive and poke around the car for 90 mins. Everything was straight forward and he made it very easy. Highly recommend a browse of there website. The condition of the cars coming from a place where salt isn't used on the road is unbelievable. Even though more than 10 years old my car is better than a car just several months old in the UK.
I bought a JDM car from them and overall had a very good experience but after a few months of ownership of the vehicle, a lot of issues starting cropping up. Some of them will have been present when the vehicle was first sold to me. Due to the fact that I bought this car during the COVID-19 pandemic, I didn't see the car before buying it. (Yeah, rookie mistake - lesson learned.) The vehicle I bought looked clean on the photos and fair enough it is a nice example however the were a lot of problems which popped up whilst driving the car for the first few months. They are as follows: - The windscreen wipers were ruined - The windscreen washer fluid was like milk - The windscreen washers themselves (front) were not working properly - The boot area has a huge leak (still present) - The car somehow passed the MOT even though the windscreen wipers and washers were pretty much ineffective and there were no advisories - The rear bumper has a metal plate on top to protect the paint when loading the boot, the plate is bent and out of shape and has damaged the paint on the tailgate - The number plates were mounted badly. - The tyres despite having good tread; were 19 years old with a date code of 1401 The most concerning thing about this is how it passed an MOT because it was not roadworthy. This dealership which specialises in imported vehicles should test their vehicles thoroughly before sale to ensure they are fully roadworthy. A rear wheel drive car with 19 year old tyres is a recipe for disaster. Luckily I caught on to it quickly and replaced them without wrapping myself and the car around a lamppost on a wet roundabout. Overall the experience itself was fine but the car had a lot of simple problems which should have been fixed before sale.
