Prestige Cars Kent
Hewitts Farm, Hewitts Road, Orpington, BR6 7QR
Following on from my previous review, i just wanted to add that Prestige Cars Kent recently contacted me offering me a gesture of good will for wasting my time and to remove my negative review. The gesture offered was £20 for a 153 mile journey (one way) which took 2 hours and 46 mins door to door. I'm truly lost for words. It's not about the money but principle and about delivering a service that i was promised.
I had a really disappointing experience from start to finish with this company. Initially, the salesperson assured me the car would come with two keys. After the sale was completed, I was told there was only one. While this was resolved quickly, it immediately damaged my trust and set the tone for the rest of the experience. I was also promised a full service history. However, when I checked the service book myself after the purchase, it clearly wasn’t complete — there were gaps of up to 18 months between services, with around 14,000 miles driven in that time. This was completely misrepresented. To make matters worse, after getting the car home, I noticed there was no parcel shelf, and there was damage to the side of the car that had been covered up with a sticker. This should have been disclosed upfront. Overall, this was shocking service with multiple issues that should never have been overlooked or misrepresented. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I was assured multiple times that the car had a valid manufacturer warranty and a full service history. After completing the sale (but before collection), I checked the service booklet and found the history was not complete, meaning the warranty was not valid as claimed. The dealership then said they would “complete a service,” despite earlier claiming it had already been done. I was also given an invoice for an oil filter change, which is not a full service. These contradictions completely undermined my trust, and I rejected the vehicle before collection through my finance provider. Disappointing experience — buyers should verify all claims independently. Response to Kent Prestige Cars: I had the keys to the car in my hands so the confusion on your side would have meant I was about to drive off with car out of warranty. That was really my point.
