I go into this dealership (VW Gloucester) on Saturday morning as my EV cable seems to have gone faulty as it is not charging my car or my other EV, but another cable is. I have my ID3 on a fully maintained lease, meaning I can go to any dealership (This is my closest and I happened to be in Gloucester for something else so decided to pop in, not expecting them to look at it then but booking it in would've been nice). I spoke to a girl there who told me it's down to my lease company to sort this out. I tried to explain it isn't as they are just a finance company all VW dealerships have to do is diagnose the fault and then send a TPI (I think it's called TPI) to my lease company to see if they will authorise paying for the part. She was adamant I have to speak to my Lease company. My lease CS don't open weekends so I waited until Monday to contact them, and they told me yes I am fully maintained my cable is part of that as its an essential part of the vehicle. That I just need to go and get it checked by VW or an approved garage. I explained I tried this with VW Mon Motors Gloucester and they turned me away and that you need to sort it, I also told them I knew this was false and that the garage should have booked it in. I sent an enquiry online to VW Gloucester on Monday and it is currently Wednesday with no response. It's probably no coincidence that I have had to make a bad review on Google about this Mon Motors dealership as I had a bad experience with Mon Motors Skoda in Gloucester. So obviously the higher management are just not interested in customer service so the front facing staff are projecting that. This was my review on Google above. They since got back to me and gave me hope that they would request authorization from my lease for a new cable (I said ok but I knew my lease would ask for diagnosis and that was why I went into the dealership in first place) The first email was from the after sales manager then couple days later someone else emailed me stating same thing. Then they out the request through and my lease states no they want it diagnosed with pictures first just like I thought would happen. I'm now going to be left with no charging cable as my friend needs his cable back (he has a tethered wall charger so didn't need his until now he's going off on holiday) I only have an untethered wall charger at home. This could've been sorted weeks ago but they like to make you fight to get things sorted. Telling me to basically go away and speak to the lease company that only authorises the work not actually does it. My last email to them has now gone unanswered. So glad I'm going away from VW next month when this car goes back. Staying away from cupra and seat also as the dealership is also this company.
Matthew was professional and welcoming. He explained everything clearly and took time to answer our questions. We felt comfortable throughout the process and well looked after. His patient approach made a real difference, especially after an earlier disappointing experience with another staff member, whose manner had felt judgmental and dismissive. Thanks to Matthew, we decided to proceed with purchasing the Audi Q7.
Booked car in over a month ago, due to drop it off 8 am tomorrow. Receive text to say it’s been cancelled, no explanation. Phoned up, promise someone will give me a call back, no call. Phone again no one available to speak to me. No idea what is happening, my MOT expires in 13 days, thought booking it in well over a month in advance would be sufficient. Decent customer service would at least involve offering an alternative, some kind of solution, someone at least to speak to. Just left high and dry - very different attitude when they were selling me the car! Really shabby shoddy service! Please don’t bother cutting and pasting a reply that says give us more information. You must have all the details in your system, you i assume must know why you cancelled the MOT and why you offered no alternatives or any solution. The reply mons motors provided adds nothing. I specifically said don’t ask for more information because you have everything. Obviously, you haven’t read my feedback. And all you are doing is a cut and paste without any thought. Confirms my opinion that you are useless!
I purchased an Audi A1 at the Cardiff branch and was really pleased with how everything turned out. The staff were friendly and professional especially Scott, making the process straightforward. He was polite and thorough throughout the process and approachable whenever I had questions, which made me feel well looked after during the purchase. He was quick to act when the car we were interested in became available which enabled us to purchase and take it home on the same afternoon. The car has been great to drive so far. It’s smooth on the road and suits my needs perfectly. I’m very happy with how things worked out.
Mark was very professional and took the time to explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated. He was polite and courteous throughout, making the process much smoother. The friendly approach made it easier to understand my options without feeling rushed or pressured. I left feeling confident about my purchase of the Audi A1.
The test drive was really helpful in getting a feel for the Audi Q3, and Waleed explained the key features clearly. He had a friendly and professional approach, which made the process more comfortable. His welcoming manner stood out, and he even followed up the next day to check how I was getting on with the car. It was good to have everything explained so well without feeling rushed.
I recently bought my first car, a Volkswagen Polo, from Capitol Volkswagen in Merthyr Tydfil. Initially, I felt a bit unsure since it was all new to me, but Thomas made the process straightforward and easy to follow. He went above and beyond to help. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and I never felt like I was being left in the dark about what was happening next. It’s nice knowing someone is on top of things for you when it feels like there’s a lot to sort out. If you're looking for clear communication during what could otherwise feel overwhelming, I'd say this dealership does that well.
Judi was really friendly and patient, which helped put me at ease as I was a bit unsure at first. She kept me informed with regular updates and explained everything clearly, including the finance and legal details. It felt like nothing was too much trouble, and her professional approach made the whole process much easier to follow. I felt valued throughout the experience, which left me feeling really pleased with how things were handled. Left feeling confident about my decision.
We were invited to attend a sales weekend to see if we would be interested in purchasing our third car from Audi Bristol. The salesman David Sheppard was busy when we first walked into the showroom so my parter and I had a wander around the showroom. She currently drives an Audi q2 sport and noticed a black Audi q2 s-line in the showroom which she loved the look of with the half leather etc.eventually David was free so we asked him if he could give us some figures on the q2 s-line if we were to part exchange our car. When he came back to us with the figures we told David that’s too expensive per month so we decided to put in another £500 deposit to get the q2 s- line to an affordable monthly figure. David came back and said Sadiq his business manager has done a special deal and with our £500 cash deposit he could get the payments down to £364 per month instead approximately £60 per month more than we were currently paying. We said ok we will go with that deal. Just as we thought the deal was done David informed us that his colleague has sold the car in the showroom. No problem we said if it’s sold it’s sold! Sadiq and David then said “let us see if we can find a similar car within the group? Happy days Sadiq found as we were told the same car in the same colour as in there showroom! We also asked for confirmation it is the s-line in black as the showroom car? David replied yes it is! So we left the dealership happy we have got the car we wanted a q2 s-line in black coming from there Cheltenham branch. Strangely enough after about a week we received a call saying Bristol Audi could not get the car we were told we could have so they have ordered a new one from the factory? I commented to Rachel “ no problem it’s worth waiting for just check it is still going to be the q2 s-line in black? Again David replied “yes it is! So we were happy to wait no problem. To cut a long story short on the 27th of April we went to Audi Bristol to collect our new car. After all the banter and being told to sign there press hard! We were taken to my parter Rachel’s new car. I it was not a q2 s-line but a q2 sport like our existing car! We then said to David”that’s not the car we were told we were getting? Basically we don’t want it! To which he replied come on in to the show room so we can sort it out! We told david and Sadiq we don’t want to take the car as it’s not what we were told we were getting. Sadiq offered us a loan car of a q3 auto but unfortunately reached doesn’t drive an auto! He replied that’s all we have available! Sadiq then came out of his office and said”I have found a s-line replacement come back in on Friday at latest next week to change the car. He said the sales manager said take the car and we will sort it out next week. We thought the sales manager was not present as you would have thought that he would have come out to see us considering the major mistake made by David and Sadiq! He would have asked us to sit down with him and sort out the situation to resolve the mistake by his staff? Didn’t happen. It took 12 days after collecting the wrong car for us to talk to the sales manager Ollie, who basically said. I have looked into the situation and we have done nothing legally wrong as you have signed the paperwork for a q2 sport! My partner signed the digital order without reading it out of trusting the salesman which turned out to be a big mistake. Do not deal with Bristol audi under any circumstances!
