Avoid this dealership — the worst buying experience I’ve ever had.** I am still in an ongoing dispute with Stratstone BMW Harrogate, and customers deserve to know exactly what I’ve had to deal with. Before I even travelled over 3 hours or paid a penny, I asked very clearly about the condition of the car. I was told it was “pristine, well looked after, with no marks whatsoever. Based on that assurance, I: - Paid the deposit - Paid £600 road tax - Completed the logbook change - Part‑exchanged my vehicle - Finance company paid them in full Only after they received all the money did they finally show me the car. The vehicle had damage all over it — scratches, marks, poor repairs, damaged rear light, tailgate issues, and wheels that had clearly been sprayed by a mobile repairer. None of this was disclosed. To make it worse, the salesperson was rude and tried to push me to just take the car as it was — clearly more focused on commission than customer satisfaction. Since then, the experience has been shocking: - **No phone call** from any manager - **No apology** - I’ve had to email multiple times just to get a single response - Most emails are ignored completely - I went out of my way to get a professional quote as requested — **£3,600** — and weeks later they told me it was “not reasonable” - They then sent emails repeating old conversations from weeks ago, clearly just **buying time** - **Not even a test drive was offered** at any point I am still trying to get a straight answer, still trying to get the defects acknowledged properly, and still dealing with delays, avoidance. Buying a car should not be this stressful. Customers should not be treated like this after handing over their money. This situation is ongoing, and I will continue to update

Overall, my experience was positive and the work carried out on my car appears to have been completed to a good standard. Sukvinder was helpful, professional and pleasant to deal with throughout. My only real frustration was around communication and managing expectations. When I dropped the car off, I was advised that it would be ready by 3:00 pm. As the day progressed, I received no updates to let me know this was no longer achievable and ended up having to call several times myself for an update. I completely understand that delays can happen, but a quick call or message would have made a huge difference. Because I was expecting the car back at 3:00 pm, I was unable to plan the rest of my day properly and had to make last minute arrangements, including asking a friend to collect my children from their activities. The quality of the work was good and the staff at the centre were helpful. My feedback is simply that more proactive communication when delays occur would significantly improve the overall customer experience.
