ETron in for a recall and did a repair to a faulty door lock. Recalls eventually cleared when they got round to putting the job through about a week later but the door issue re-occured after being supposedly fixed. The main issue though is trying to get hold of anyone. Impossible to get through to reception or service and speak to anyone. If you try be prepared to waste an hour of your life. Do yourself a favour and find a better dealer.
Without question their Tunbridge Wells branch is worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Things went wrong from the start when we first tried to buy a car - even before we got to look at one the sales assistant was asking us questions about where we were getting the money (we went elsewhere to a dealership where we weren’t looked at with suspicion). Irritations and unhelpfulness aplenty subsequently when we had our 420i coupe serviced at Tunbridge Wells but they absolutely took the cake when I needed to get a passenger door window switch replaced: 1. Booked it in as part of a service 2. Was concerned that they hadn’t ordered the part (because I didn’t trust them), so I then rang them then to double check. 3. They checked. They had ordered the wrong part. They said they would order the right part. 4. Rang again to check they had ordered the right part. Stressed AGAIN that I needed a passenger window switch not a drivers side one. They said they would order the right part. 5. Took car in for service 6. They hadn’t ordered the part at all. Came home (this all involves time off work, taxis etc). Very pissed off. 7. Rebooked for a few days later. The guy ordered the part. He guaranteed that it was the right part this time. Passenger side. 8. Took the car back. 9. They’d ordered the driver’s side. That’s it - I’m going to have to find somewhere else - which will involve travelling a lot further. There’s a kind of belief I think that if you buy an expensive, premium brand car you can expect an equivalent level of competence from their dealership service offer. Stratstone BMW Tunbridge Wells shows that’s not always true. Avoid them.
Visited the site for a New Audi A1, was promised a call back regarding my part exchange. 5 weeks passed by no contact made. Thank you Audi Oldham, business given to another competent dealship instead who did deliver & look after me. Disgusting behaviour!
